12/30/13

Again, sorry for the neglect. Just been busy. Today was good. Saw my grandparents and helped them take down their tree. I saw some old friends and that was fun. We watched Recess take's the 5th grade on Netflix and played worst case scenario junior. I showed off my OUYA and that was fun. We exchanged gifts. We took our family photo for our ornament. Later.

Today was pretty good. I was going to go to my grandparents but the road was to icy. Instead, I unpacked some more of the stuff we put in storage during the bed bugs. Turns out, my labeling sucks. In a bag labeled "desk" I found a bunch of stuff that never went in a desk, like my computer accessories bag. Oi. I did see my other grandparents. After seeing them, my family went to Logans Roadhouse. I ordered a steak, medium-well. When I cut into it, it was medium rare. My brother was all "oh that's good eatin,' let me have it, you can have my salmon." I think he forgot I don't like fish. I sent it back and it came back a little more well done than medium well. I don't care; I actually like my steak more on the well done side. It was good. I rented Strange Brew and watched it with my brother who's going to school in Canada. He says he knows people who are just like them. lol. Later

Today was kind of eventful. I did some babysitting for one of my neighbors. Her daughter was getting over an illness and she needed someone to watch her for a couple hours. We watched Gravity Falls and Doug. I thought about "what would be appropriate but tolerable? Gravity Falls." Turns out she loves it and it's the only thing she watches on Disney Channel. Cool. Then when there were no more episodes of Gravity Falls, we watched Doug. Turns out she watches it occasionally with her normal baby sitter. Faith in the next generation restored. Anyways, that went from about 9:30 to 12:30. After that I shipped a couple of Christmas packages. I then wrote some things for my job hunt. Then I watched Breaking Bad. Good series. I also became a motion maker on Dailymotion. Yay. Later.

Sorry about neglecting this blog. I didn't do to much today. I got some large bills exchanged for smaller bills for gifts and I exchanged rolls of change for cash. I also cleaned off my parents computers. I put malwarebytes and microsoft security essentials on their desktop. After running the malwarebytes scan, 564 detected objects, at least 300 of which were Trojans. I don't know. I spent 2 days last summer cleaning off bloatware, but I guess I missed getting all the viruses. Wow. Later.

11/22/13...and the night before

OK, before I talk about the great things that happened today, I need to tell you a little story about last night.

So I've been really stressed with this entrepreneurial project, mainly because 1 professor just wouldn't green light the idea, and it was all for quite stupidly specific things. One being "well you can't lift a tire with cardboard." "So what's the coefficient of friction that you need in order to get the tire to slide?" And other overly specific things. All the other groups didn't have to give super specifics when they were trying to greenlight their idea. Oh, and this wasn't at the time of actually building the thing, it was when we were just trying to get the idea approved. Oh, and now we have 2 weeks to build a working prototype, and we can't start construction until we get the idea approved.

So I'm in the shower, knowing that tomorrow (today) was the last day we could get it approved. I'm stressing, knowing that my group and I need to get a final plan of attack, and we had to do it before class started. Then I remembered, I was meeting with my marketing group to work on our marketing project before that class. I lean over, rest my head against the shower wall, and...well...here's how I can describe it.

For about 2 minutes, all the thoughts in my head, all the thinking, all the worries, all the stress, just stopped. All I was aware of was the sound of the water running over me, and even then I wasn't fully aware of that until maybe 1 minute in. Then when I realize where I was and what I was doing, I finished showering and stepped out to dry off. As I look into the mirror, I became very fascinated by the facial expressions I could do. I was fascinated by the way my muscles altered my appearance. I stood there, playing with my reflection for probably 10 minutes, involving my hand and the towel after maybe 3-4 minutes. I was out of it. Then when I got out of the bathroom, I was fascinated by all the stuff in my room. I walked over to the pringles can, being cautious because I wasn't sure what it was capable of. Then when I noticed that the lid made a certain noise, I played around with it and eventually played "Under the Sea" on it. I did some other things until I decided it was bed time, but I was like a caveman discovering the world.

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but the best way to describe it was "my brain had a blue screen of death and it rebooted in safe mode. Really. Normally, I have like 3-5 "programs" running in my head at once, all competing for "resources." In safe mode, everything was quiet. My thoughts were completely silent. There was no filter for the sensory input, and it was interesting. I also couldn't talk. I don't know if I just didn't want to, or temporarily forgot how.

Well I went to bed, and when I woke up, things felt nice, like no stress. I tried "running" "entrepreneurial.exe" but it just wouldn't "run." Wow. Crazy. I was able to really do well with my group with our marketing project.

Then I get to the engineering campus, and I still can't get "entrepreneurial.exe" to "run." I tell my group members, "guys, this class finally bested me. Here's what happened last night, and I can't get 'entrepreneurial.exe' to run." Being engineers, they understood my jargon. They were able to present the idea well, well enough to get approved. Though that might have been the professors meeting before hand and saying "look, they aren't going to create the next great product, just let them continue so they can learn the rest of the process." Either way, approved.

Now for my really good news. Part of the project requires us to figure out the measurements needed for our lever. After a semester of reading, writing, and trying to prove our idea, I finally get to use math. I was so happy. I missed math.

I went to the pokemon league for the first time in weeks. It felt good to play again, even if I essentially did nothing but lose. I admit that I'm the worst trainer in our league. I don't care. I have fun and I still get badges. Later.

Today, well I really don't want to go through it. Had report prep and spent hours working on projects. I did laundry after being a "foul bachelor frog" for about a week. Had a college republicans thing, but so tired can't remember the guy's name that gave a speech. Later.

Another day, another oiy. My throat hurt. My nose was running some. But worst of all, I had pain in my abdominal. At first I was worried. Now, I'm thinking it might be me losing weight. I had report prep and management. Management was with an APICS meeting. That was interesting. At the meeting, my professor was the one giving the presentation and he canceled next week class right then and there. Cool. My group and I worked on our project, with that we basically proved that our product worked. Also, with hitbliss, I can now get breaking bad. Never saw it, but since I can get it for free legally, I thought I'd try it. Seems pretty good. Later.

Today was a crazy Monday. It hit me like a high speed train. I got up early to work on a project. Then after working on it for about 2 hours, still kind of got the "that's not good." So now we worked on some other stuff. We came to the realization that we've been marketing it all wrong. We fixed some problem points and rewrote the mission statement. Now all we'll do is video it working and then we will get the go ahead, mark my words. Later.

Today was fine. In report prep we worked on our survey project. After that we worked on our entrepreneur project. I'm looking forward to actually getting a "that's good" after 10 weeks of "no that's stupid." I worked with my filmmaking group president to try to get a room for the next semester. Later at night there was a movie night at the honors college. We watched Monsters University. Good movie. Later.

Today, well Wednesday. I had Entrepreneurial and Marketing. In entrepreneurial, we finally got our professors to say "well now that's interesting, I might buy that." We still need to do some fine tuning, but we might just have it. At this point, one of my partners and I both said "we're done trying to fix this as we would. Now, we're just going to do this so we can get a good grade. After we graduate, we'll take our rejected ideas to market and sell hundreds. People liked the idea and said they'd buy it." Maybe it's for the best. Our school rejects our ideas, well we still own the intellectual property then. It's like with Steve Wozniak and how HP said "personal computer, that's a stupid idea, we're not going to put our name on that, keep it." Who knows. I also watched "The Breakfast Club." Amazing movie. Might need to review it. Later.

Today was interesting. I had a test in report prep. Unfortunately I burned my self out studying for my marketing test so I didn't do the level of studying I wanted to do for it. Thankfully, my professor decided make it a group test. Being a group test, we dominated. Then I did some work on my management stuff. I had management. It was really cold. So when walking back to my dorm, I went full Kenny. Later.

Today was quite busy. I had to finish reading what I needed to for my marketing test. Finished it basically right before the test. I think I did really well on the test though. I'll be called out as a curve wrecker like every other test. As a multiple choice test, I could tell that my professor was running out of options with a couple of questions. One questions had 2 answers that were exactly the same, except the difference was "corporate" and "orporate." Yeah, a couple of people asked him if it was a typo, and he was like "no, it's intentional, and there's no such thing as 'orporate.'" There was another question of "Why will Black Friday stay alive as a concept?" One of the answer was "because [the professors] career depends on it." L laughed at that one. Funny. I came back and did some studying for my test tomorrow in report prep, and I did some, but not nearly enough to say "I'm ready," but I just couldn't finish it. I was just to burned out. Later.

Today was rough. I only had report prep, but after that I spent most of the day working on my design project and revising my part for the marketing paper. I spent hours working on both. Part of the design project is we have to show our projects to people and get feedback. I put my other group members in charge of that one. I've been doing a lot of the work, so skipping out on that was no problem. It was kind of funny. After they gathered their data, they came to my room and gave me the info. I normally don't wear my vest and hat when I'm just sitting in my room. When I answered the door, they were all "woah, this is the first time I've ever seen you without the vest and hat." Yeah. Today was ok. I had my entrepreneurial class and marketing class. Both fine. I filmed the commercial for my marketing project and edited it in less than an hour. It was kind of funny, we spent more time trying to find the guy's house we were filming at than actually filming. It turned out decent. We aren't graded on the quality of the production, we're graded on if we managed to convey a message and actually made a commercial. The video quality kind of sucks, the audio is pretty terrible, but it works. Later.

Today was really nice. I didn't have much homework today because, well lucky break in homework. I did some catch up on marketing notes. I skyped my parents. I called my grandparents, both sets, and wished one set happy birthday and thanked the other set for the Halloween card. I cleaned my dorm, which basically was gather up all the paper I don't need and the empty water bottles and recycle them. You can now walk around without worrying about stepping on something. I was kind of planning on doing laundry, but I decided to wait on that. Later.

So today, well I kind of had an "oh crap I have no idea what I'm going to do" moment. I realized that I have a paper that's due in 6 days, and with some commitments, that equals more like 3 days. I don't have much done on it. but I think I have it under control. It takes me about an hour and a half to read 1 article, and I only have 2 left to read. I also don't have much in the way of other assignments that might draw my time away from it. Well, except for my marketing project that's due a week after the paper. Didn't do much on that front either. Damn. Here's the thing, I've pulled off crazier miracles. Today I had entrepreneurial 2 test and marketing. I got maybe 1/6 of the work for my paper done today. Also had film club and college republicans. Later.

Today was the first day of midterms. One in report prep, 1 in management. Read below what I posted to google plus. I had a meeting for an engineering competition. Later.

"So I just had my midterm in my management class. Really don't like this class. For starters, at least 1/3 of the lectures to date have been on stuff that wasn't on the test at all, like "the ISM network for employers that we're developing" and "how our program is so much better than other programs." That stuff is cool an all, I guess, but it's no where near 1/3 of class time valuable when it ISN'T EVEN ON THE TEST! Next, another third of the time was spent on tangents that somewhat relate to the material, but isn't on the test. So, another third of class time spent on things THAT AREN'T ON THE TEST! So in total, only 1/3 of the lecture time is spent on stuff that is actually on the test. Unfortunately, that only made up about 1/10 of the test. So where do we get the information for the other 9/10 of the test, in the reading material.
OK, so we don't have a book per-se, we get packets every class, and each class, we can expect anywhere between 25-100 sheets of paper a week, most of the time double sided, so double the number of reading materials. The amount of hand outs I've received half way through the semester is thicker than some text books. OK, now compared to some classes, it's about the same of reading material. But here's the kicker, HALF THE PACKETS AREN'T TESTED MATERIALS! Half the packets are "general information" reading, so it's a 50/50 chance if what I'm reading is on the test or not. And these packets aren't easy to read. Most of them are walls of text. I am not about to waste my time reading something that isn't on the test. I have more important things to do than "read general information," like read for other classes where the professors are nice enough to say "here are the pages you have to read, go do it."
And now just to kick me when I'm down, the necessary information that is given in class does not correspond with the necessary information in the readings. A fact, statistic, relation, etc. that is said in class is not in any of the readings, and a fact, statistic, relation, etc. that is found in the reading is not in any of the lectures.
So lets see, 7/12 of the "material" is not on the test, and the other 5/12 of the material, split into 1/6 class and 1/4 reading can't be found in the other resource, so if you missed it, you're screwed. This class is going to kill me."

Today I tested out a new medication combination. I like the results for the most part. What I like most about it, I'm doing an experiment. It's been so long since I was able to do an experiment. When I realized this, I was super happy. I had marketing and that was fine. Had students for life and things have gotten really interesting with the new leaders. Later.

Today I helped my film club make a short film. It's a 2 minute film, but it took us 6 hours to film it. I took a lot of behind the scenes footage. After my midterms, I'm going to write a blog about the experience and maybe cut a vlog. It was a really fun day, though I probably should have been studying for my midterms on Tuesday. Lol. Oh well. Hey, sorry I forgot about yesterday. I had an interview at 8:30 AM. I think I hit out of the park. I had my entrepreneurial class. It was fine. I did laundry. I rented American Pie. Kind of funny movie. Not much else.

Today I spent the entire day studying for Supply Chain Management. Oh crazy. Not a big fan of that class. My teacher doesn't really teach much in the lecture. It's all from the readings. Oi. Later.

Today was fine. I had a presentation to give for my report prep class. I did fine considering I only practiced the morning before the presentation. I worked on an assignment due tomorrow. I also went to a job fair for business majors. I've found that business majors job fairs are kind of hit or miss for engineers minoring in business. Sometimes "wow, you can do the job of the guys majoring in your minor AND you can do the engineering stuff, you're on the short list." Other times "no there really isn't anything for someone like you." Hit or miss. I also started a new blog, Happy Gamer Rambles. Here's our first ramble. Later.

Today was, well... let me just say what happened. I scheduled my classes today. All my classes are only offered Monday Wednesday Friday. They actually chain, 9:30-2:20. I also have 1 lab on Tuesday, but that means that Thursday is free. I didn't really like having 3 days off a week last semester, but looks like I don't have a say in the matter. I had Entre 2 and marketing. We talked about black Friday in marketing. That was fun. I got all my signatures for TBP. I had a job fair today. I might have landed an internship at Marathon because of my Pokemon tie. Yay. I had my filmmakers club and I might have an acting part because I have a beard and a big bald spot. Later.

Today was OK. I had report prep and I worked on my project. I then stayed at the engineering campus just reading stuff for my management class. I had my management class. We got to see our midterm before we take it next week. That was pretty cool. I now know what I need to study. Later.

Today was different. I had a test in marketing. Not sure exactly how well I did on it. I think it went fine, like high 80s. I also polished the bent for the honors society I'm "rushing." I got an invite to an honors society, and unlike the other one I'm in where I just have to get high grades and pay my money, I also have to get signatures from members and faculty advisers and polish the bent out in the main entrance to the engineering campus. Kind of funny. It's like I'm pledging for a frat. lol. later.

Today was fine. My group and I busted butt to get the project assignment done before we needed to turn it in. We did it, but I don't like this whole "finishing last minute" thing. We then spent a lot of time working on the next assignment. We got it almost all done. I got a birthday card for my dad and I included some pieces of spearmint gum, or as I call it in the card, "green stuff." I had my pokemon league and it was fun. We got some stuff today, and I got all the points up to date. Later.

I had an introduction to Tau Beta Pi honors society. I had my Entrepreneurial class. I had my marketing class. I had my filmmakers club meeting. I had my college republicans meeting. I also had a realization. I miss calculator work. Homework where I have to use a calculator and my computer programs and the like. Today was stressful. We had this presentation for one of my classes, and we were still working on it until the due time at 12 noon. We did all the data and information, but we we made the presentation in a matter of 1.5 hours. After we put the presentation together, we finalized the corresponding paper in 30 minutes. The guy that printed it off ended up being 5 minutes late to class because, well, we needed to print it off 5 minutes before and the computer lab is on the other side of the building. We need to stop procrastinating. Damn. After that things were fine. I played pokemon and that was fun. Later.

Today was busy. I got up, packed all my stuff for today, left at about 9:10, and didn't get back to my room till 8:45 PM. This is probably the longest I've stayed away. I worked on my presentation for tomorrow. We basically worked on it all day. We had to call it quits once we all got really tired. So much work. Ohhhhh, later.

Today was nice. I slept in till 11:40, meaning I missed morning mass. I went to the evening mass instead. I prefer morning mass because it's like "wake up, eat breakfast, go to mass." I saw some people from my conservative groups and that was cool. When it came time to shake/hold hands, I was all "hi, I have a cold." All went fine. So earlier I basically chilled all day. I did some work on my project and that was good. It was nice to chill for once after busting my butt all month. Later.

Today was OK. Turn out that my allergy irritation was really the begging of a cold. I woke up breathing through my mouth with my nose full. It's not as bad as I've had it before though. I'm fairly sure I picked it up at the job fair. I shook hands with at least 10 people, who probably shook hands with over 20 people, who shook hands with... Essentially I shook hands with everyone at the engineering campus. I think my flushing of my nostril really helped. Basically I poured Disani Distilled drinking water directly into my nose. It burned, but soothed the irritation.

Anyways, today I read my marketing chapter, worked on my my project, formally applied to the jobs from the job fair, and relaxed. I haven't been able to relax for weeks. Later.

Sorry I've been neglecting this blog. School's just been keeping me busy. Yesterday I had a job fair and I think I did a great job. Today I woke up with crazy allergy symptoms. My right nostril is burning from it and I'm quite lethargic. It sucks. Later.

Today was ok. I went to church, worked on my project, did some work on my report prep class, and skyped a friend. Good day. Also explained to one of my friends why I was dropping one of the classes. I feel really good about dropping it. Also, my monitor for my dual monitor set up, and acting TV, was acting up. It like wouldn't do black. It would turn up white or gray. If I was watching a colorful cartoon, it didn't make much of a difference, but it really screwed everything else up. Now it's back to working. I might get a new one just to keep on hand. Later.

Today was fine. I had my report prep class. I spent most of my day working on a project with my group. Did fine. After working on that, it was time for the movie with the honors college. I thought it was going to be the new Great Gatsby, but it ended up being Life of Pi. Really good movie.

Here's something that I find funny. Either today or yesterday I found out that Valve now allows you to share your game library with 10 friends with their "Family Share Feature." Naturally, all the PC fans are all "Yay, Valve leading the way for the future again. I love you Valve." Let's see, now where have I heard this before? I know I've heard this from somewhere. Wasn't one of the new consoles going to have this? Oh yeah, this was one of the features of the XBOX ONE. Wait a minute, I thought you guys hated the XBOX ONE. Man some exec over at Microsoft must be like, "wait a minute, I thought people hated that." Later.

Hello everyone. It's been 12 years since the September 11th terrorist attacks. Every year I do something to remember this event. This year it was watching "102 Minutes that Changed America / Witness to 9/11: 102 Minutes that Changed America / Witness to 9/11" on history channel. This is an amazing documentary. No commentary, no stock footage, no news reels, all raw footage from the amateurs with video cameras and the reporters who just left their cameras running mixed with the radio communication between the fire fighters and police. It's all done in real time. I've heard the time between the plane crashes and the time the buildings fell, but I never sat down and actually spent the time to feel the time. It's a super powerful documentary. It's not for the faint of heart, and I don't recommend it for anyone who finds this event to difficult to remember, like those who were in New York 12 years ago, but it's amazing.

Now for my day, had my engineering econ, entrepreneurial 2, and marketing class. Not liking how we get 2 days to put presentations together with entrepreneurial 2, but I just need to go with it. Later.

Today was good. I had my writing class and management class. I worked on an assignment for my engineer econ class. I think I got all I need. Now I need to do a write-up. I don't know how I feel about my management class. Everything in the way of opportunities is marketed at the guys who are majoring in this. I'm minoring in it. Today was fine. It was cold this morning. I had a little trouble waking up because I didn't get enough sleep, but after my breakfast I managed. I had engineering economy and marketing. Today was a good last day of summer. I enjoyed TV shows, rented and watched Rise of the Guardians on blu-ray, filmed and edited one final video for the summer, and got a lot of exercise walking everywhere. Rise of the Guardians is great; cute story, great visuals, likable and entertaining characters, overall amazing. The video I filmed was on subs vs dubs. I actually filmed it a week ago, but unfortunately I didn't really put my heart into it and I got interrupted halfway through filming and lost my rhythm. This one I'm really happy with the results. I edited the entire thing, removing my begging of shot pauses and bloopers. Unfortunately movie maker is stupid and decided it didn't want to render my video. Sucks to be me. I think I need to reinstall movie maker. I kind-of wanted to write my review for white house down and my blog for the last week of my summer, but didn't get around to it. Might do it tomorrow. Today was pretty good. I went to church with my grandparents. That was nice. I saw them off. After lunch, I hung out with an old high school friend. It was cool to see her again. We talked about her fall welcome experience, her summer, what we're taking this year, and other topics. We watched 2 episodes of Rocco's Modern Life. She's never seen it before, and she loved it. We went to dinner at the good cafeteria on campus. After dinner she had to go. After that fun, I saw my aunt after she finished moving her son in. She brought me some stuff that I forgot. I showed her my room since she wanted to see how it looked. She liked it. I also got my books for the semester somewhere in there. Later.

Today was really fun. I went to the water park with my friend mskate and her brother. Really fun. We rode the water slide, went in the lazy river, and the wave pool. It's a bit of a small park, with only one 3-part slide, a wave pool, a lazy river, and a kiddie part. It was a fun time. Later.

Today was good. I went to mass with my family. That was nice. Everything else was pretty lazy. I took apart a broken ear bud speaker. Got a small amount of copper. Next time we fire up the forge, we're making a copper bar. I'll have more copper by then. I also found My Name Is Earl on TBS.com and I've been watching that. I've been doing that mainly because I can't watch it on hulu without a plus subscription. I'm not paying another $8 for something I won't use much the next month. Well I shouldn't be using it because it'll be college. I also made the website for my film group. Enjoy some of my handy work. Later

Today was fun. I went to a grad party today. It's late in the season, I know, my brother goes up to college in a couple days so it is really late. It was still fun. The guy is very outdoorsy, and so is his family. They hired an archery guy to bring some stuff for us to do. He had a normal target, but then there was this skeet shooting like event thing. Basically nerf foam targets get launched in the air, and then we shot at them with a bow and nerf tip arrow. Of everyone I was the best. I wasn't GOOD, but I ht probably 50% of the targets, which is better than anyone else can boast. Also, a daily deals site had a deal for gamecube controllers. They're marketed as "wii compatible controllers."

Really. I got one because I needed another gamecube controller in order to have 4 controllers. Later.

Today was good. My dad and I fired up the forge today. We melted brass and aluminum. I now have a cool brass bar and an aluminum bar. The brass looks like gold, at least to me. Today was also the cruise of classic cars down main street. That was fun. I enjoy seeing classic cars every now and then. I'm not a big fan and I wouldn't be able to name many of the cars, but they look cool and it's fun. I even saw an old friend there. It was cool. Later.

Today was crazy. Things started out normal. I woke up, ate breakfast, and went to pick up the guy I drive. I went to Starbucks like normal and the tea went through me faster than normal. I watched an episode of Stoked on hulu. Great series. What I also did was do a slight overhaul of my video site. I put in a Nav Bar that's part of the template, so now I don't need to copy and paste the HTML into the post each time from my page called sandbox test. I then went through each post and deleted the Nav Bar in every post. Well after the class, we went back to my rider's house and we went to the bus stop because he'll now be taking the bus to class and I was there to make sure everything went right since I have experience with public transit. We get on the bus and ride to campus. We weren't going to get off because we thought we could just ride it round trip. We rode it to the end of the line, and then we got kicked off. Luckily it was on a major road I knew and kind of being stranded, we decided that our best course of action would be to walk the 20+ mile walk back to his house. We made it somewhere between 1 and 2 miles before another bus stop came with a bus that would get us home. While walking down the sidewalk next to this highway, with cars zipping past us and few businesses and people along the road, I had the strange feeling that I've seen this before, like in a dream. A little Deja Vu. It was cool. I beat DuckTales remastered on easy, and now I need to do medium and hard. Later.

Today was good. I did my driving job. It went well. I got my wart looked at, and it's gone. Yay. Great news, I downloaded DuckTales remastered and it's great. It's almost exactly like the original game. The only differences; graphics are updated and easy to see, sound is improved, there is now a story or the story is now in the game and not just in the manual (don't know, got the original used at funcoland without manual), actual voice actors from the show voice all the dialog, there's unlockables, and based on some interviews I've seen, the maps are restored to the creators originally intention (slight changes had to be made to accommodate NES limitations). Even with these changes, the original core gameplay remains the same, the maps are still quite faithful, and it's an amazing side scrolling platformer. I might review it. Today was good. I started my "chauffeur" job today. I'm getting paid to drive a family friend to and from summer school for a week. Yay money. I hung out at a starbucks while he was in class and enjoyed their free wi-fi. Now I'm no mooch, I bought a hot tea from them, and it cost me like $4.50, good thing I had a gift card. I also got a cookie later, and it cost $2, for 1 cookie. But WiFi. I formed a new conspiracy today, Starbucks keeps their stores cold so people buy more hot coffee and hot tea. It was cold in there. Today I basically played nothing but The Last of Us, and it was great. Sure my head hurt like crazy after 6 hours, but it sure was fun for such an amazing game. Wow my tolerance has really gone down. Anyways. I did help my neighbor take down the tents from the rib off yesterday, but that didn't take to long. Now I'm going to get back to my game. Later.

Today was super fun. Today was the annual rib off competition and it was super fun. It's a full weekend affair, but it's mostly a Saturday thing. It starts out with a catholic mass, and it counts for our weekly need. After mass, it's the parade of grills. Everyone who's competing roll their grills from their driveway/backyard to the host driveway. We also decorate the grills some. We put our college flags on it. After the parade of grills, it was time for lunch. I played Last of Us until it was time to put the ribs on the grill. That's an amazing game. When we put the ribs on the grill, well that was fun. We did our trash talking and showing off. Next thing we knew it was 5:30 and time to select our rib to be judged. I got my 1 of everyone's rib and that pretty much filled me up. I really liked the Mayor's ribs. They had a nice citrus taste, and I love citrus. This was a fun year, because the one guy who's been doing it since the beginning for 15 years and never won, won this year. It's always been a running gag that this one guy hasn't won. We have a T-shirt that the winner signs and the year(s) he won next to it. He had his name on the shirt, but as a joke and "..........." next to his name. It was a fun celebration. Probably the only time everyone was celebrating the win instead of the winner rightfully gloating and everyone else yelling "rigged!" Really fun time. After the celebrating, I went back to playing last of us. Amazing game. Later.

Today was great. First I saw my grandparents today, the ones that I don't see every week. On the way to see them, we stopped at an outlet mall. We got gold fish and the like from the peprige farm store. I got a new pair of crocks from the crocks outlet. I needed a new pair since mine held together by dental floss and have the sole almost completely worn out. One really fun thing was going to the "Coach for Men" store and just look around. My mom and I were greeted by a VERY flamboyant man. No really, he had a fauxhawk, FABULOUS clothes, strutted, and rested his hand on his hip. We looked around at the stuff and just made fun of how expensive things were. $400 merse, $90 belt, $100 wallet, $40 set of golf tees, etc. We met my grandparents at a German restaurant that they love and is halfway between us. It's good. It was really fun seeing them again. The accordion player played the super mario theme. I'll upload the video at some point soon. Really cool. After visiting with my grandparents, we had a surprise visit from my aunt, uncle, and cousin, the nerdy one that's really fun. Today was fine. My dad and I went to pick up my new futon mattress at Wal-Mart pick up. It was funny because when it first came out, we were second before we had to sign off on it. We looked at it and it didn't look right. It had a picture on it that looked like a trampoline or, as I called it, a baby cage. We asked the lady if it was a futon mattress and she said, "woops, that's a pool." Now I admit that a personal pool in my dorm room would be really cool, especially during the super hot early weeks, but I don't think that would go over well with res life. Also, I can't fall asleep in a pool and live to tell the tale like I can with a futon. Rest of the day was pretty lazy. I went to a grad party of a family friend and I listened to his grandpa with the early stages of Alzheimer's ramble on and it was kind of interesting to hear what his stories were, even though he didn't finish before starting another story. Today was good. I slept in 1.5-2 hours longer than normal and I felt I slept some of the day away. Don't like doing that. I played Super Mario 3D Land and I beat the normal campaign, wow that feels weird saying for a mario game. Anyways, I beat that and thought "I'm going to be miffed if I payed $40 for 8 relatively easy worlds, but then, well, I'll just leave it at there's plenty left to do after and it gets much more challenging in a good way. I went to Wal-Mart with my Dad and brother and I looked at the video games and DVD/Blu-Ray section. After playing my 3DS for a couple hours strait, my eyes started hurting/not wanting to work. Today was good. I got my wart frozen off, and though it hurts and I got serious freezer burn, it's worth it. My brother and I went to a Mongolian buffet, and we kept making references to that episode of south park with the Chinese guy building the wall and it kept getting knocked down by Mongolians. I rented Django Unchained, and though I'm kind of doing it stop and go, it's an amazing movie. The first 1/3 is hilarious, and the 2nd 1/3 is pretty serious. Now I'm watching Gravity Falls, and this series is amazing. You should try it. Later.

Today was OK. I didn't have my blanket or pillow last night because I couldn't find the bag they were in. I was cold and stuff. I did go to the movies with my grandpa, as we do every Tuesday. We went to see The Wolverine. I will review that, and I mean it this time. Before that we went out to lunch at Pizza Hut, I had a pizone. I love those things. After the movie I watched an episode of Gravity Falls ondemand. Great series. I cleaned my hamsters cages. Unfortunately, our one hamster, our personal hamster and not the one we're watching over, isn't doing well. He has some cancerous growths on his back. Now we're just enjoying him while we can. Today was fun. I went to a graduation party for one of my camping friends. That was fun seeing everyone. My brother came home today from summer camp, and it was good to see him again and here some of the stories. What I'm most happy about is my 3DS came today. I got some demo's and the free applications on it. I also found out that I can't play it with the 3D on without it straining my eyes without my reading glasses. Sorry it's a bit late so I don't know how grammatically correct that sentence was. I need to wear my reading glasses when using the 3D or else my eyes start to hurt. Glasses free 3D, yeah right, lol. I ordered Mario 3D Land and that should be fun, though now I'm thinking I might have wanted to get Luigi Mansion, but I'll get that eventually. I watched Ecstasy Of Order: The Tetris Masters. This is an amazing movie. I like to think of myself as pretty good at old school games, being the best around most of my friends and family. But I am always humbled by these guys. Later.

Today was fun. I spent the day with zeldamaster93. We went to best buy, target, ci ci's pizza buffet, and a mall. At best buy, we looked at the anime section and video games, primarily 3ds games. I recently bought a 3DS on eBay, and as someone who has a 3DS, he gave me some ideas as to some games. After we looked around at best buy, we went across the street to Target and looked at their pitiful collection of games. We also looked at the DVDs. After Target, we ate at CiCi's pizza buffet. It was good. After lunch, we went to the mall. There we played some games at the arcade. Primarily we played DDR. He played one round and because he's not very good, he only played the one round. He said it reminded him of anime and how characters in those series will go to the arcade just to play DDR. We went to the FYE at the mall, and had a lot of fun in their anime section. I ended up finding a DVD of Super Duper Sumos, a series I never saw on TV because my parents were kind of strict with the shows I watched and just from the shear amount of butt references in the promos. They never explicit said "you can't watch this," but they wouldn't have allowed it. It's really weird and really bad, but it's so bad it's hilarious. We also looked some at the gamestop and sears videogame section but didn't have any luck finding any titles. Then we left and I had to get some video files to a friend. He's in the high school band and being one of the few people who took digital video that's ready for anyone. I gave him copies of his stuff. Later.

Today was really good. First I got a new set of head phones to replace my broken set and I got it for free from a friend that got them on a plain. Then I went to Costco, and that's always a fun time. Then I decided I was going to get a 3DS; I did some shopping around, and I found I could get one cheaper on eBay, duh. First I started bidding on one, and it ended up being PAL, and I need NTSC. Luckily I got sniped, so yay. Then I found a new 3DS and it's complete in box and not used, and it was $40 cheaper than buying new from store. Now I got a bunch of best buy gift cards that I have bids on for below face value so I can get some games. I felt so good, I decided I was going to play the lottery. I don't play the "mega millions jackpot" drawing games, because those are like 1 in 5 million chance. I play instant win scratch offs, because those are like a 1 in 20 chance, and I've won on them before. It wasn't much, but it's something, and it's for fun. If I don't win, there's always the second chance reward points. I didn't win, but I got 2 points out of the deal. Later.

Today was laid back. I got up a little to early, like 2 hours, so after realizing what time it was, I went back to sleep, or what was close to sleep. After that, I basically surfed the web and watched hulu plus all day. Once it got to that time, I watched Fox animation domination. American Dad, Simpsons, Cleveland Show, and the sneak peak at animation domination high definition. I don't know about Axe Cop, but American High School was great. It's a funny parody about high school; and what I love about high school parodies is that they do an excellent job of making fun of high school situations and making them overinflated while talking and presenting it with realistic dialog. Today was great. I spent the entire day with my New Zealand friends. We had breakfast. We went to a grocery store and had fun with the kids. My mom and I then went to my grandparents and took care of my grandma and fixed her post surgery things. We then went to mass with the New Zealand friends and then to dinner. Today was kind of easy. I took most of the covers off of the wall outlets and light switches. There was one room I wasn't able to get off because they've been pained over so many times. I also put the VCR/DVD combo in the basement because I just don't trust the VCR with the liquid carbon dioxide. I'm trusting the disk based devices because a jammed disk drive won't eat the disk, and I need this VCR to convert tapes to digital. Mom was kind of harping me over the stuff that was out, but none of it was mine. I picked up all my stuff, and much of the shared stuff, but I'm not going to move stuff that isn't mine. Most of it is out of respect for the other person's stuff. I went to CiCi's pizza buffet for dinner, and it was good. I had about half a pizza, 6 bread sticks, a plait of pasta, and 3 brownies. I then played an hour or 2 of the last of us. That is an amazing game. I need to review it. Later.

Shout out to the 2 subscribers I have on this blog according to feedburner, and a special one to whomever reads everyone of my stupid little posts. Self deprivation over, now for my day. Today was all laundry. I did laundry at the laundromat. This one was cool. It had an arcade cabinet with a bunch of old school arcade games on it like galaga, pac-man and all the sequals, donkey kong and all the sequals, and burger time. There was also an arcade virtual gold game like the kind you'd find in bars and a simpsons pinball party pinball table. I got a free game on that one, but for some reason, I always have terrible luck on my free game since the ball always seems to either go down the ally or strait down the center. Oh well, free. After that, came home and vegged out. Later.

Today was a good, easy day. I moved some stuff around my basement, and now I can sort of get in my nerd cave, but it's being used for storage. I moved some stuff to the basement. I started a flame war on google plus today. Kind of funny. I said I don't like apple because they're over priced and the UI isn't that great. Then this guy proceeds to personally attack me. He's all "you poorfag. Only porfags complain about the price of superior hard ware. This is why capitalism fails, because you poorfags would rather buy piece of shit toshibas and cheeseburgers instead of a good computer. How many mcdonalds cheese burgers can you buy with the money you save? Go jump off a cliff and land on a mine." All that was missing was a comment about my small genitalia, my lack of sexual encounters, and the many sexual encounters he had with my mom. It hurts for the second that it sounds like he's directly insulting me, but then I laugh at his inability to properly explain his viewpoints. You don't win people over by insulting them personally. Also I laugh at the fact that he thinks I'm using a toshiba and assumes that I will spend the money I save on cheese burgers. Actually I'll buy a car with the money I save, and then hit up the mcdonalds drive through, because I do love cheese burgers; double quarter pounder with cheese pickle only with a large sprite. Happy free slurpee day. Got my free 7.11 oz. slurpee on 7/11. More packing, yay -_-. Here's a funny thing and I'm glad I caught my mom before she went further, but when cleaning out our guest room, my mom found 2 sheets of 100 years of scouting commemorative stamps that belong to my brother and me. She asked if I could find out how much it costs to mail a letter because "there's no reason we need to hang on to these." I explained that they're commemorative and a collectors item, and that my brother and I each have 1 sheet because we not only spent 13 years in the cub scouts and boy scouts, but we're also eagle scouts. I am really glad I stopped her before she started peeling them off and putting them on the christmas cards. Oh well. They're safe now. I think the post office sells the forever stamp version, but these were from 2010, the 100th birthday and are 44 cents, aka, not the same and out of print. Later.

Today, more quarantining. Not as much as before, but now my room is close to completely empty. Also my TV room, not my lair, my TV room, is close to empty. I was playing Last of Us, and without spoilers, the feels. My brother and I went to a Mongolian buffet, and it was good. I tried tofu, the vegetarian excuse for meat. It has kind of a jello texture, but not as firm, and the taste wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about, and then the super spicy set in. I tend to like some heat, but that was a bit too much. Today, second verse same as the first. It was a little more lax since I didn't have as much stuff to pack up, but still packing up stuff. Here's the kicker, I had to move the stuff from my room on the second floor to the basement, and some of the stuff was heavy. I'm so ready for this to be over. Today, crazy to say the least. We had the terminex guy come and check the house for bed bugs. My parents have bed bugs, but I don't. We're now under quarantine. Oh well. On a lighter note, I had to go to the eye doctor. That's good because it's in an awesome mall. I was going to blog it today, but got lazy. I might write it tomorrow if I have time. There's this awesome import store and I got a misty figure. Today I watched a charlie chaplin film. I love his tramp character. Later.

Today was pretty good. I enjoyed hulu plus and some goo goneing some cigar boxes for sale. I shipped a video camera. I enjoyed some TV and web surfing. Here's some bad news, my parents found bed bugs in their room. It's a good thing I'm unemployed because I am likely going to be doing a lot of dryer zapping of the bugs and other stuff. Well to make us feel better and help us escape, we watched Down and Derby. Later.

7/4/13 Happy 4th of July

I wish I could say I did something very interesting for the 4th of July, but alas, nothing extra special. I cleaned out my basement and such. I did go to the fireworks with my friend mskate. There were some cool ones, like a a yellow circle with a star in it. I called it the mario coin firework. Good time with a good friend. I started playing The Last of Us. It's a great game. NaughtyDog really pulled out all the stops with this one. Story amazing, graphics superb, use of vibration adds an extra layer of immersion in a way I haven't seen, controls are spot on, game mechanics great, and I need to get more into it. Later.

Today went well. I edited my review for man of steal. I watched a movie on hulu, American High School; a movie that's a parody of teen movies, and it made me laugh at some points, it was more mediocre. The elgato video capture card came in today. I was going to install it on my desktop with a second storage only 1/4 terabyte hard drive and plenty of disk space on the normal 1/2 tera hard drive. Unfortunately the software doesn't run on vista, so I installed it on my win7 1/2 tera laptop. I'll end up saving the videos to the portable hard drive and move them onto the desktop storage drive. Also going to do all the editing on the desktop since it has the DVD writing programs I know. I may get around to doing live shows with it so stay tuned. Later.

Today was lazy. I vacuumed the house and went through my shirts to see which ones I'd be fine to donate. Got rid of 3-4 shirts; faded, pit stains, other stains, and one I just don't wear at all. I found a great web series, Game Chasers. It's basically American Pickers with videogames. Really like it. I also took apart a computer power source thing in hopes of being able to salvage some copper, even if it was just the wires. Turns out the wires were steal, and I can't melt steal in my forge. I did find a couple copper coils and 2 aluminum tower things that I'll have fun melting down. Later.

Great day today. I went to a grad party for one of my high school friends. She's even going to the same college as me. We talked for about an hour and a half because I was the first one to the party and the only one for a long time. After more people came, one of them was a friend I haven't seen for over a year. We talked for about 2 hours. I was the first one to the party, and then the last one at the party. Good time. During the dinner conversation, the topic came up on preserving the old home movies. So long story short, my family is getting an elgato video capture card. I might make some good video footage for games with that, but for sure am starting a new business, video preservation. I don't have all the skills and equipment to offer "the best quality transfer" and all the different restorations like noise reduction and color correction, but you don't need to ship your memories out to God knows where, and it's much cheaper, half the price per hour of video compared to the other guys, your first DVD copy is included in the price, and digital master file available upon request at no extra charge. This isn't for the guys who want to have everything and want to pay an arm and a leg, but just want their memories on DVD and just want their memories preserved as is. One last great thing, all my albums on myspace transferred over to new myspace today. Yay. Later.

Today went fine. I had allergist today. I helped old neighbors move, and that was tiring. We were pulling these big cabinets out of their basement and moving them to their new basement. I then went to a Mongolian buffet with my brother and that was good. I really liked the boneless spare ribs but didn't care to much for the pepper steak, a dish I normally like. It was just too tender. I like my meat to give me a little fight. I watched futurama and that was fun. Later.

So today I was going to record a review for Shadow the Hedgehog, but then I gut caught up in playing the game, and next thing I know an 2 hours went by and I end with playing banjo kazooie. I went out to lunch with my grandparents. After lunch, I dropped off mskates ear rings since she left them at my house. Lets keep this between us, but I think I might be developing feelings for her again, but I'll tell her once she starts feeling normal again. I got caught up on my toonami shows, except for soul eater. Soul Eater isn't up on adult swim gold yet. Hopefully it will be up tomorrow. If not, I'll just have to watch it subbed on hulu, but I'd prefer dub, because that's how I am. Later.

Today my stuff came in. I got my jeweler's magnifyer, and it makes sorting pennies by year much easier. I also got my graphite ingot mold. I was a bit disappointed by the size. The picture made it look much bigger. It's about 1.5 cubic inches and it came in a box that was about 1 cubic foot. That's over 800 times larger than what the thing actually is. Oh well, we'll still have fun with it. I watched the dogs some. Today is my last day of my hulu plus subscription, so I watched Dante's Inferno and Code Lyoko. Let me say, after seeing Dante's Inferno, I am glad that my soul is in good standing with the lord, because hell is a really bad place as shown by that movie, and I would hate to spend an eternity down there. Today was crazy busy. My brother had his grad party today and it was crazy long and lots of work. My legs feel like they're going to fall off. I also took care of the animals some. Today busy but fun. I went to 3 different grad parties and watched the dogs some. Turns out the one dog didn't like my fedora, because when I wore my baseball cap, he was perfectly fine. One of the cats got out and the screen door fell off of it's hinges. I called the neighbor and he helped me get the cat back inside. I called the people I'm house sitting for and they said told me how to put the screen door back on. The grad parties were fun; an old neighbor, a fellow boyscout, and the sister of a friend I've known forever. Also did some cleaning and prepping for my brothers grad party. Later.

Today was fun. I did some pet sitting and the one dog still doesn't like me, but the cat seems to like me. I went to see Monsters University with my friend mskate. If it wasn't for the fact that we didn't do any of the couple things, people might have mistaken us for dating. We're not like that, and we're fine with it, plus hug benefits. Today, lots of effort. I helped my mom do the shopping for my brother's grad party at Costco. So much stuff, we needed a flat-bed. I started my pet sitting, but my allergies were acting up. My brother's taking care of most of the sitting and he's gonna get proportional pay. I also did a lot of listing on ebay. Later.

Today, really busy. I started doing my "job" of mowing my old scout master's yard. I mow her yard for the summer and she pays me. After the mower stopped on me at least 20 times because the grass was so long it kept gumming up the mower. Then after I finished the back yard, I went to the front yard, and things were much easier because the grass was a little shorter and didn't gum up the mower stopping the mower. Then I weed whacked the edges and the side of the driveway that was full of rocks. I almost finished everything, but then the weed whacker ran out of weed whacker string and I had to stop. I was told that was good enough and the yard looks so much better. I'll fix everything next time or if I get called back. I also did fact checking on my animal crossing creepy pasta, The Animal Crossing Killer. I made sure that all things were within the workings of Animal Crossing for the GameCube, all the texts and game mechanics matched what happens in the game. I had to make a few changes to words. I was busy today. I did a lot of yard work for my grandparents and that took me almost all day. I was going to fact check my Animal Crossing Creepy Pasta and post it to my video site, but then I got caught up in watching hulu, specifically fat head. I'll do it tomorrow, and I'll also get a podcast out with two of my friends about E3. Later.

Today was fine. I helped my mom with her school room by labeling books and putting up dust covers. That was OK. I also helped out on her learning of the smart board. I also helped my dad and brother clean out the garage. We could fit a smart car in it now. Later.

Well I spent 2 hours editing a video and it got corrupted. Uggg. I give up on that one. I went to 2 grad parties. One for mbinski and one for my neighbor. It was fun. Tomorrow I'm gonna get to work on my march for life video. Maybe even make a review for the power mat. Later.

Today was fun. I basically spent the entire day with Zeldamaster93. We went to see the internship. You can read my review here. I read on a 3rd party site that the movie was supposed to start at 10:30, so I had ZM93 come over at 10 AM, but it turned out that the movie started at 11:30, so we hung out for an hour. The movie was great. Click on that link and read it. We were the only ones in the theater, so our mild rowdiness wasn't a problem. Today was also the day that my brother came back from his trip. Today I cleaned the desktop computer. I got rid of 4 "clean my PC" programs, 8 toolbars, 2 outdated java updates, and some other tack along programs. I then turned off a bunch of unnecessary browser add-ons. Now all I need to do is make the home page not a browser crashing web page. I cleaned out my car. Today my parents took me out to birthday dinner, and it was today instead of yesterday because my grandparents took me out to birthday lunch. I know I said I'd get my birthday blog written, but cleaning the desktop proved to be more work than I anticipated and I wasn't able to write it. I did write a script for a short parody video I hope to film tomorrow. Later.

Today was good. I fixed my dad's laptop so now the internet doesn't run slow. Now he won't blame my brother and I for hogging the bandwidth. Monday I'll go through the internet add-ons and back ground programs to hopefully make the computer run a little faster. I also watched an interesting movie on hulu. It's called The Lost World. It's an interesting silent film about a scientist/adventurer that finds dinosaurs in the Amazon. Watch here. Later.

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days. I've been forgetting. Today my brother graduated high school. Got a bunch of pictures with friends. Over the weekend I had my cousins graduation. I think I talked about that. Nothing really happened this past week. Here's a funny, I bought a bundle of 9 PS2 demo disks, and the seller threw in an extra game and a happy meal toy. Well the free game didn't work. I can't complain since it was free. I told the seller that and wasn't complaining, but just said it. Later.

Today was fun. I got to hang out with my extended family because my cousin graduated high school.I brought my video camera and got a "Pokematic event bootleg" of my cousin's parts. She was valedictorian. I also was the one to get the diploma photo for my great aunt. I got close up and got the best photo I could. After graduation we all went out to dinner, and that was fun. Today was...well just hear what happened. I had an interview and it went well. I think they like me. It's really far from my house, but it's an internship. I checked prices for the lego store to see if what I heard was true about some exclusive sets being sold there that sell for 3 times more online. Unfortunately I don't see any so far, but I have 30 more sets to check. I had a major head ache that set in around 3, but then I ate food, drank water, took a shower, and now I'm fine. Later.

Today was cool. I watched a couple hours of Hulu content. I went to a kind-of local mall, that's about 5 miles away. I went to the lego store, because I heard that they have sets that you can't get anywhere else and they sell for like 4 times more on ebay. I didn't have ebay prices on me, so I just got some pictures of the different sets they have to do research on. One thing that was cool is that I was complemented by a random stranger about what I was wearing. I don't know if it was sincere or a bet or dare or something, but I felt great because of it. My reason for going there is because I was supposed to get new voice box things from build a bear. A couple years ago the voice box in my grandma's bear died so we were going to get some new ones, record at home, send one to my cousin for him to record on, and then that would be her birthday gift. Unfortunately they changed the technology and now we need to record it at the keyosk thing. Oh well, we'll figure something out. I also got some jaw breakers at the candy store there. I need to find a different place to buy them, since the 8 jawbreakers cost me like $6. I wish I lived in Ed, Edd, n Eddy's universe where jaw breakers cost a nickle. Later.

Today was good. There was this big garage sale by my grandparents house. I got some inventory and some personal collection pieces. Unfortunately I bought a game I already own. Well I'll try to sell that, or since it looks different than my other copy, it might be worth keeping. Then I helped mom clean the house. Lots of vacuuming. Later.

Today was fun. I went to a party with my camping friends. It was fun seeing them again. What was the highlight was when one of the kids caught a bass. I got to see hi reel it in. After he pulled it up, he wondered what to do with it. It was a full 18 inches, even a little larger. It was to big to stick in the bucket they were sticking the small fries in. They put it on the land. The question was, "so you gonna release it and let it live, or kill it and eat it?" He chose eat it. We let it air drown for an hour, and then it was dead enough to filet. The dad filet it, and a bunch of us watched. I'm not a fish person, but everyone who tried it loved it, so I take it it was good. Fun time. I haven't seen a fish fileted since summer camp of 2010. Today was cool. I shipped 2 different items, a videogame case artwork and a license plate. I wanted to do some editing on my vlogs I shot, but I neglected to. Oh well. I'll eventually get them out of post production hell. But for a really fun thing, we have a guest hamster this weekend. We got our hamster from my mom's teaching partner because her hamster had babies. Well this weekend, we have the mom hamster. If our hamster was a female, we probably could let them socialize together in the same cage, but we can't since ours is male. Hamsters are rodents, and rodents don't have a sense of family and realize that incest is bad; they just kind of see the opportunity and act on it. It would be a bad idea if they were both male, since male hamsters will viciously fight each other when they meet each other. Females will fight too, but not as strongly, and they might realize that there's some similar DNA. Whatever, moo, the mom, is a really fun hamster. She runs around in the ball, and explores the area, and is far more active, unlike our hamster, swiffer, who will run around in a circle in the ball and pee, and is much more lethargic. But with swiffer being more lethargic, he lets us hold him, whereas moo doesn't let us hold her. Later.

Today was great. I listed items on ebay and did some yard cleaning, aka, picking up the big sticks. But great news, tomorrow I have an interview for an internship. Woohoo. I did my "badge receiving" celebratory volume and tone, but this time I said "YES! I GOT AN INTERVIEW!" Tonight was the honors convocation for my brother. I got to see some of my still high school friends and 2 of my old teachers. Later.

Today was fun. I did many applications, did some organization of my pokemon cards, but the best was hanging out with zeldamaster93. We watched tree house of horror 5,6,7, and 12 and played Kerby Adventures on his wii u. I showed him the secrets and how those work and what to look for. I haven't played the game in years but I still knew where many of the secrets were. Yay. Later.

Today was hard. I cleaned up an overflowing toilet this morning, not fun. Mopped up the water and then bleach wash the floors. After that, I showered to clean whatever may have splashed onto me. Today was fun. I had the car today, so I went to best buy and our not so local mall. At the mall I went to gamestop and fye. At gamestop, I got Pokemon Ranger without the proper case. It was an iCarly case, and the guy was just going to throw away the artwork and manual, but I asked for it and the guy gave it to me at no extra charge. More inventory. Today wasn't that great. I tried to get a paypal debit card so that my eBay business could be more efficient in how I handle all my finances. Well in doing so they said they weren't able to approve my application, and that I might not be the person I said I was, so I have 15 days to prove I am who I say I am, until I prove myself, my account has limited access, and if I don't fix everything, then my account will be restricted. All I want to do is run a better business. Well right now I have my funds stored in my secondary account just hanging out until this gets fixed, because if my account gets locked, then I'll have access to my money. Oh well. I did sell a couple of things today so that's good. Right now since everything is up in the air, I have some of my items being sold on Amazon. And remember to vote and share. Later.

Today was good. I fried 16 pounds of bacon. Now before the accusations of "fat American," my family fries up 16 pounds of bacon at a time, packages it into individual servings, freeze it, and then warm it up for breakfast. It looked pretty impressive since I had a big pile of fresh bacon. I also played Pikmin 2 for a couple hours today. It's been a while since I've spent a couple hours just playing video games. Today was good. Sold 4 more artworks, 1 buy it now and 3 bids. I shipped the 2 I sold yesterday. I got my haircut. I finished Tenchi Muyo GXP and got caught up on toonami episodes of One Piece, AND watched all 6 episodes of this awesome series called "The Yard." Oh today was nice. I slept in my bed and today I processed my college stuff. My dad and I fixed my grandpa's TV. His speakers on his TV crapped out, so we brought a set of computer speakers to fix it. We needed to go to Radio Shack to get proper adapters. We spend $17 on adapters. We could have done it for $5 by getting the stuff from Amazon, but $12 is the price of continence to fix my grandpa's TV. Still better than a $200 new TV or $60 sound bar. Later.

Today I had 2 presentations, one in Myths and Tales and one in Work Design. People liked my joke about why I'd not applying a psychoanalytic approach; "while you guys might get 85-90% of the symbols with explanation, I'm lucky if I can correctly guess 25% of them, and to get me to do an explanation, well you have a better chance of Freud talking about something other than sex." Work design went well. After presenting, I was thinking "man it'd be great if I had a laser pointer that had a 'slide advance' and a 'slide back' button. I should invent one, that's a great idea." Then I check Amazon and there are at least 20 pages of results, all the front page being exactly what I was thinking. Lol. Later

Today was great. Today, 3 of my 4 classes were canceled, and the only class I had was my super easy econ class. My probability and work design classes were canceled because of the senior design presentations. I got extra credit for attending. Yay. I had lots of time to work on my paper, and I have it finished, all 48 pages. I printed it all off. After that I worked some on my Myths paper. Then I watched some TV and surfed the web. Later

This weekend was hell. I spent all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday writing my final paper for work design. I spent at least 24 hours on it. I've probably spent 30 hours on it, much of it was in strait 5 hour periods. I think I was supposed to be working on it all throughout the semester, but with the project it's based on and all my other work, aint no body got time fo dat. Oh well. It's finished and now just needs to have some final things put in it.

Friday night was OK though. I watched Star Wars Episode IV with some guys and that was fun. On Saturday I watched the anime on toonami and that was fun. Now watching animation domination on FOX. Later.

Today, ok. I had my work design test, and that went well. I had probability and econ and that was fine. But when I got back to my dorm, I realized that I need to write my paper for work design, and it's due Thursday and I haven't done much of anything with it. I don't know if I'll sleep this weekend. Another tuesday, another hell day. Work design, probability, econ, and adults with disabilities. But to offset the hell, I found a box of VHS tapes that were being thrown out. I would have just left them there, but they had really good cases, so I'm going to replace all, or most, of the home movie cardboard dust covers with these high durability plastic cases. Now I need to do some research on these tapes to see if there's something valuable on these tapes, like some sort of exclusive interview or presentation with a celebrity alumni. It's not likely, but I've read enough diamond in the ruff dumpster dive stories to know that I can't overlook it. Later.

Today was really boring. I read my reading in my adults with disabilities class. It took me all freaking day. I woke up at about 10, started my day at 11, and did my reading until about 4:30. Today kind of tough. I had work design, probability, and econ. I was brain dead throughout probability. It was kind of funny since I participate a fair amount in the class, mainly cross checking the teacher's work, but I was having trouble getting a coherent sentence out. I got my labels made for my work design project, I also finished reading 1 chapter of my disabilities reading. My mom and grandparents were scheduled to come up this weekend so they could take some of my stuff home but since I'm quite stressed with projects and homework, it'd be bad for me to see them. Oh today was long. Work design, probability, econ, and adults with disabilities. During disabilities, my ADHD meds compleatly wore off. I'm fidgiting, playing with my pen, at one point I almost climbed on top of the table. There was something about how affirmative action is bad, and it took all that was in me to not say "all I know is that it sucks for us middle class white guys." Later.

Sorry I don't have a joke for today. No "I'm replacing Charley Sheen" on 2 and a half men this year. I did get my grandma since she loves April Fools. I told her I missed my train back to college. She fell for it for a minute. I enjoyed my time with my family this easter, but I had to leave today on the train at 6 AM to get back in time for my 2 PM class. I got back at about 10 AM. I think it's the combination of not much food, tiredness, and reentry that made me really tired today. Oh well, got my homework done so fine. Later.

Today was ok. I had my Russian Myths and Tales class and I learned all that I need to do for my project. I talked with my professor for about 15 minutes so I could learn what I needed to do, cause as an engineer, I don't really get this whole literary criticism thing and humanities things. I think I have what I need though. My project partner and I pitched solution ideas for the dinning hall. It went well. I got work done. Ready to go home for Easter. I posted my Animal Crossing Creepy Pasta to my google plus Jadusable style, every paragraph is it's own post. It was well recieved by my friends there. Eh, today was OK. I worked on finalizing my probability project and had my Russian Myths and Tales class. When I was doing my work for Myths, I went completely crazy at percicly 7 pm. For some reason, I started thinking about adventure time and laughing hysterically. Then I started singing whatever song poped into my head. Not a pretty site. Oh well. Later.

7/16/12-7/17/12 Dream State

Hey everyone, yesterday I read a thing on how to lucid dream. You know, controlling your dreams. Well the first step is knowing if it's real or dream. I already had that covered since I dream in 3rd person, and things are so weird all I have to do is look at it to know it's a dream. Now the next step is realizing it's a dream while dreaming. I've done that when it was a nightmare and was successfully able to stop it and go onto another. Before I did that in my dream, all 3 of us awakers, catholiccontriversy, happy gamer and I, were bracing themselves for going into the dream instead of just watching, hence the 3rd person perspective I guess. Well I tried calling out the dreams. The dreams didn't like that. The people in the dream would scold me and say that's not how it goes, reset. This happened many times until I realized that I need to just ride it, probably because the dreams got revenge. They were like "OK, you don't want a show, here's a field, there is nothing in this field, except for grass and small nuggets of aluminum. Go find the aluminum, in first person." Next thing I knew the sleepy time was over.

So now I'm awake. The 3 of us get a stern talking to by the dreams. They said basically that "this is our turf. We take a back seat to you guys during the day. This can give us ideas for dreams but we never interfere with the awake world. If you're going to interfere with our time, we're going to interfere with your time, and you know what we're capable of." The 3 of us were all "OK, we're sorry. We didn't know. Please don't screw in the real world."

Here's how I guess you could describe how it works with the dream. The dreams are magician. They put on a show, with things that are known to be not real, but you don't know how it's done. Even if you know how it's done, you don't let on to it. You don't say "well that's how you do it everyone!" The magicians don't like

Here's more reason why. We've had our issues when one of us spilling into the other's turf. When I made videos on catholiccontriversy's channel on youtube, he caused catholiccontriversy nothing but trouble. When I went on a journey with happy gamer and left CC behind, he got them banned from blip after 3 days. We have a yin-yang relationship, where each person has their place without the others interfering with the place unless invited to which we get the dots in yin-yang. Still even, just in different places. But when one tries to take area, bad things happen. Now have the yin-yang on 1 side of a coin, with the dreams controlling the other side. They have much more control but only exercise that when the coin is flipped, aka sleep. If they were to start coming over to the other side, bad things are sure to happen. I'd likely start hallucinating, not sure what is real and what isn't. I have a feeling I'm going to pay for my insolence tonight in the dream. I'm going to be invited up on stage for the craziness. Today I got work done. I did my Russian Myths and Tales reading, Work Design assignment, interview for my adults with disabilities, and some of my probability project. I really don't like this project. It requires minitab and I don't care much for minitab. It just has such a frustrating UI, or something. I did get my tale, I think, for my project in myths and tales. After working on my probability project I felt sick. I don't know if it was something I ate at the cafeteria or just didn't have enough water or was just burned out or some combination of them. Either way, I felt bad, but after I took a sort of nap, drank plenty of water, and watched Ed, Edd, N Eddy, I felt better. Later.

I didn't do anything really productive today. All I did was do laundry and get my alergy shot. I have projects that are due at the end of the semester. In the works of Zoidberg, "My productivity was bad and I should feel bad, but I don't." I also watched Hulu and that was fun. I had my Pokemon League and that was fun. Later.

3/21/13

So today I had work design, probability, and econ. In econ I had a test, and I'm confident I did really well. I worked hard on trying to do my probability homework. I did some progress, but unfortunately, I didn't get much work done since I spent an hour only to get 2 questions done. After that, I gathered data for my work design homework. Very interesting life I lead. Fun thing, tonight was my dorms talent show and I did comedy. The first 2 jokes killed, but then I blanked on what my 3rd joke was, and it wasn't like I could just go on, since I had it carefully formulated for maximum funny. After 30 seconds of blanking, I went on with joke 4, did 5, remembered 3, and then ended with 6. I'm either going to re-edit it so that I can get it in proper order, or I'll just reshoot it. Later.

Today was my crazy tuesday. Had work design, probability, econ, and adults with disabilities. I got my scheduling done and that's a great load off my shoulders. It was kind of weird since I was like "I feel like I should be doing something right now." Oh well. I figured out some homework to do before my disabilities class. Still waiting on king of the nerds audition. Later.

Today was ok. I had my myths and tales class. That was fine. I tried to register for classes, but that's for tomorrow because there's something that needs to go through the system. Oh well. I read all my things for my disabilities class. Still waiting on my "you're accepted" email from king of the nerds. Later.

3/16/13

Today was ok. I did some web surfing and stuff. I spent 3 hours reading my Russian myths and tales reading material. That wasn't fun. I filmed my audition video for king of the nerds. I had to film it at night because the lighting wouldn't be good if it wasn't. Here's my first attempt at making it during the day and I didn't really know what I was exactly going to say.



 I would show you the final video, but that's special for the King of the Nerds Producers. I think I have a chance. Later.
