4/30/14

Today was good. I helped my grandma down the stairs and went to gamestop and a salvation army. I didn't get anything at gamestop, but I got some cool things at salvation army, sims for PS2 and some sealed PS3 demo disc. I saw my parents off as they went to go pick up my brother. I got some amazing spicy beef and broccoli meal from trader joes. It needs to have the broccoli part warmed up in the microwave, and that's when our heavily used, 10+ year old microwave decided to kick the bucket. Well, if I could get the door to shut and have it register the shut, then it would still work. I smell a project. Later.

4/27/14

Today was nice. I went to church. Finished moving my stuff from the living room to the basement. I watched some hulu and crackle. I didn't do much else. Later.

4/25/14

Today was moving out day. I piled all my stuff into my parent's vans. I was able to check-out 30 minutes early. I rode home with my mom since my dad's van was completely filled to the gills. We talked and stuff. I got some video of me packing and moving out. I'll upload it to either film annex or tune depending on the quality. Film annex for high quality, tune for low quality. I saw my grandparents. I played with my hamster. He's such a fun rodent. I went out to dinner with my dad to a good pizza place. I did a little sorting and unpacking. Later.

4/24/14

Yay, finals are done. Yay. I woke up at 6:30 so I could get on the bus in order to get to the engineering campus in time for my circuits final at 8 AM. I did a little last minute cramming and finishing up my note card. I finished that 2 hour final in 30 minutes. I then studied for OR for about an hour and a half. I finished the OR final in 1 hour, and we had an hour and 40 minutes to finish. I then studied for my ergo final. Ergo was actually difficult. Circuits and OR were cake, but ergo was difficult. Well then it's 4:30. I eat, then I meet my parents to help me move out. We moved out a fair amount of stuff. Now all that's left is a bit of the stragglers. Later.

4/23/14

Today was another lazy day. I probably could have studied, but...I've reached my capacity. So instead I watched The Big Lebowski and a bunch of other hulu/amazon instant video. I also got my vials and did some packing up. If I could move the stuff that I packed up out my room would be rather empty. I got a bitcoin wallet and like 2 cents worth of bitcoins. Later.

4/22/14

Today I had my first final. I smoked it. I went in and I was like "I know that, I know that, I know that, not sure on that but I know where to find it." I met with a friend before hand because he needed help with it. Later.

4/20/14, Happy Easter

If I was back home, I would probably have a nice story to tell over on pokematic's blog. Unfortunately I'm up at school studying for finals. I went to church. I studied for simulation and a little for circuits. Then I kind of had to call it quits after 6 hours, just because I reached my limit. I bought bandslam and had it shipped to my home. I did a little packing. Later.

4/19/14

Today was really boring. I woke up, ate breakfast, and studied for finals, ALL DAY. I did my Circuits homework, which is studying in it's own right. I studied ergo and OR. By 6 PM, I was burned out. To take a rest after a long day's work, I decided to rent Bandslam. Best decision of the night. Check out my review to find out why. Later.

4/18/14

Today was hard. I had my classes, sort of. Circuits was a review. Sim was a 15 minute review, and after no one had questions, my professor was basically like "ok, so class is over, if you have questions for the next class or this one, come to my office ours." I spent hours fixing the final ergo paper, going crazy. I even started flailing my arms going crazy while sitting in the main café. That was bad. I turned in the ergo paper. All good. I went to Good Friday mass with my one friend. Good to go to church.

Now things were crazy. I had to wake up 30 minutes early so I could print off my circuits paper. I dreamt I was eating like this sheet of bacon, and it was some amazing bacon. When the alarm when off, I literally said "my bacon" in a sad tone. I printed off the circuits paper no problem. Then I spent hours fixing the ergo paper. So much stress. My one partner, I don't really know why, he just kind of always finds a way to stress me out. He means well, but the stress just comes with him. Well after that, I start going crazy. Super hyper. I start singing and dancing a little. I flail my arms, twitch, and just overall bad. After turning in the paper and going back to my dorm, the stress left me, and also left me with a major crash. I was fighting to get back without collapsing. I then "defragged" as I like to call it. It's basically like defragging a hard drive, but I do it with my brain. There was a lot more flailing and I basically had to exorcise my stress. At the end of the day I made this short little vlog. Enjoy my craziness.

4/17/14

Today kind of sucked. What did I do, I wrote papers, ALL DAY. Ergo paper. Circuit paper. By the 5 PM I started talking to myself moreso than usual because I just went insane. But on the plus side I got to spend 4.5 hours watching short films with my film club. Well that would be a plus if there was more interesting films. A lot of them were artsy and boring. But I entered the wrong study lounge. That got some laughs. I also got one of the left over golden VHS tapes. Yay. I'll review the event later, maybe tomorrow, or after finals. Later.

4/16/14

Today was rather interesting. In circuits, sim, and OR we basically didn't do much except some review. My sim and OR professor basically ran the class for 30 minutes and then said "so there's nothing left, OK, there's not really class Friday so I will see you for final." Yeah. But then there was the ergo. Ergo we had presentations. We had to present our semester long project. Afterwards our professor gave us a bit of a hard time about how we didn't talk enough about our subject. Dude I crammed as much as I could into the 10 minute window you gave me. I cut out half the things I was going to talk about because I didn't have enough time. Then I talked to him about my grade in the class to see if I need to take the final. I think I might but I'm not sure. He gave me a bit of a hard time regarding my contribution to the project, but that only happened because my group member that talked to him first didn't show him my excel sheets. Turns out I already did what he needed me to do.

Here's an interesting thing that happened, I saw a gangsta engineer on the bus today. He was talking to a guy about him lending the guy an SD card with something on it. He was all "look dawg, when I give someone a chip, and physically put it in my boy's hand, I run the risk of nev'r seein' it again. But look, that's just one of my extra chips." He then pulls out a case that contains like 8 different formats of memory storage. "You see this, this is what I got. I have all sorts of different chips (memory cards ranging from SD to what looks like a ram card) and this here is my 3-20 (external hard drive). I never leave home without it. This has all my music and stuff on it. But it's not like my 2-tera. That's my baby...." He keeps going on about his memory storage devices, and while it may not sound like it, he really had a gangsta tone and way of carrying himself. Later.

4/15/14

Today had some major ups and downs. Stared out down, then got really up. First off, after a weekend of nice weather, we get snow. Like, millimeters of snow on the ground. We normally don't get snow mid-April. Annoying because that means I have to wear my boots, and socks, and I hate socks. Well next thing I go to the engineering campus because I was going to meet with my group before lab, but then I forgot my lab materials so I had to go all the way back to main campus, and that meant I basically lost 2 hours of possible productive time. I had my lab, worked on projects, and that was basically it. Then my one group member decides he's going to buy me dinner after doing so much with the project and basically making him not fail the class. That was nice of him. He got me a hungry Howies pizza. This is the first real food I've had in weeks, maybe months. If I have pizza for dinner in the dorm, I normally have 2 slices, and they're rather thin crust. This time, I ate more than half in one sitting and it had some thick crusts. My stomach said it was full, but the rest of me said "shut up this is the first bit of real food we've had in weeks." Well after doing some more work, I ask my group what we're all wearing tomorrow for our end of semester presentation. I said I was going to wear a polo shirt and khaki pants. One of my group members asked if I was going to wear my vest. I jokingly said "only if the entire group wears them, I have enough to go around." She said that'd be a great idea, and I'm like "OK I'll bring my spare vests then." Now I'm going to finish off the pizza. Later.

4/14/14

Today was OK. I had circuits, OR, and sim. I spent hours working on my ergo project, and I think I'm almost done. After hours of working on it and so many other data analysis projects, well... check out this picture.
I had students for life. I fixed our president's computer, because her mouse was acting all screwy. Basically I recalibrated the sensitivity of the track pad and turned off the gestures, like 2 finger scrolling and pinch to zoom. I also found out about a new event involving Atari E.T. Want my thoughts on the subject, check out my happy gamer rambles post. Later.

4/13/14

Today was hard. I went to church. They did the passion play. It was good. I then spent hours working on my paper and circuits homework. So much work. When I went to dinner, I started trembling because of stress. The heels of my palm are raw because I've rubbed them on my laptop so much. So much work. So ready for the semester to be over. Now I'm enjoying the temperature and fox animation domination. Later.

4/10/14

Today was good and bad. The bad was that I forgot to take my medication, so I wasn't able to really focus. This meant that I wasn't really able to do work. I did do a little 3DSSPP stuff. Also did some studying, but I really ended up taking a break, and that was nice since I really haven't had a break in weeks. I watched hulu, caught up on toonami, and joined a new video/blogging site. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning blogger. I really like blogger. But this place pays in bitcoins, so I'm going to hopefully start getting some bitcoins. You can check me out here. I'm thinking I'll end up using it for misfit blogs and another place to post my videos and pictures. Hope you enjoy. Later.

4/9/14

Today was hard. I had a test in ergonomics. That sucked, but I was generally prepared. I overslept and missed the first half of my circuits class. I had OR and sim. After doing some circuits homework, I came back to my room, I started watching Hulu, and now I still am. Later.

4/7/14

Today was, well...I don't know how to say. I turned in a paper, 2 papers actually. I worked on my ergo project. Somehow we got on the topic of creatures that swim up your urethra and kill you. I worked on reports for circuits. I went to ALD meeting and Students for Life. So ready for this semester to be over. Later.

4/6/14

Today was horrible. Church was fine, but damn, did I lose my day. So I had to work on this validation and verification report for my semester long simulation project. Now normally this is when you explain why the model meets what you expected it to be and how you know it is like you want it to be. I did that for about half of it, then I went on to explain that my professors demands for "more complexity" completely ruined the project and that this is not what we intended to make and this will not follow the actual system, and that it's all his fault. I did it in a very polite, passive aggressive way, so it doesn't come off as rude, but definitely said "this sucks, we know it sucks, and it's your fault. Our first model was great, and if we tweeked it it would have been great and useful, but it's not because you wanted us to add things that aren't in the actual system." Later.

4/3/14, I went on an adventure

Well, today was interesting. I got my allergy shot and had to do a pee-in-cup drug screening for my internship. Now for something so simple, it sure was time consuming. It's not like I could just get it done at the health center, I had to go out to get it done. I had to ride 2 different buses to get to the location that was like an hour away by bus. Then because it was raining and my umbrella is a piece of crap, it decided to finally break on me, so I walked down to the Meijer a block away. Even more time. By the time I got back to my dorm, 4 hours had passed. I wanted to study for my test tomorrow. That's not really happening. I also had my film club. I showed everyone my video. If you haven't seen it, well check it out. Later.

4/1/14

Oh I wish I had an April Fools day thing to tell you, but no prank to talk of. I spent all day working on a project and studying for a test. I took a nap and in the dream I was fighting an OR dragon that sounded like my OR professor. It was crazy. The only way to fight it was to know the material. After studying, I then fought the dragon. 5 minutes of hard fighting. Later.
