Lets see if the title works because blogger is being stupid at the moment. Today was pretty good. I went to church and I saw one of my good friends there. We talked some after mass and got caught up some. I will likely see him in other classes and at the engineering campus. I worked on my big vacation blog and I have everything except for the pictures. I'm gonna ask my dad for the pictures tomorrow. I saw my aunt since she was visiting her son. She brought me the shampoo (click here for a backstory), my books, and some other small things. I then went out to dinner with her and my cousin. I worked on getting caught up on toonami. My internet is being weird so I will work on finishing that tomorrow. I'm now at that point in the simpsons marathon where I've been following it regularly at premier time. It's kind of weird. Later.

8/30/14

Woops, was to tired and busy to blog on the day. The main thing I had to do was return the microwave-refridgerator combo I rented because I was able to get one from my brother. My dad left the dolly from when I moved in and I wheeled it down to the rental booth. It went fine. I got caught up on attack on titan and would have worked on blue exorcist or black lagoon but I ran into some friends I haven't seen since last year and we got caught up and played chrononauts for 5 hours. What was going to be a 30 minute dinner alone ended up being a 5 hour hang-out session. I watched some more of the every simpsons ever marathon. Later.

8/29/14

Today was move in day. My dad and I left the house at 6:30 this morning. We drove 2 hours to my dorm. I had to wait a little to check in because they didn't let me check in till 9AM, and we got there about 8:40. We then unloaded my stuff onto the curb to take up to my room once I could check in. We dumped my stuff into my room and set-up the carpet. We laid the carpet and then assembled the futon. Unfortunately we put the wrong parts on the side, so the back was on the seat area and the seat was on the back area. Woops. We had to take it apart and put it back together again. Oh well. We were able to assemble it. We unpacked some stuff. My mom and grandparents gut up around 10AM and we unloaded what they brought up.

After some off loading and unpacking, we went to lunch at the dinning hall since it's supplied by the hall for the people that helped move you in. My parents had to leave at 1 because they had to get the rental car back before 4PM. My grandparents hung around a little while longer. We went to the book store to see if my grandma could get a grandma shirt because now they only wear "grandson college apparel." Unfortunately she wasn't able to find a specific "grandma" shirt. Oh well.

Soon after that they left. I unpacked some stuff made my dorm a little more liveable. Since I'm in a single dorm I don't have to worry about a roommate and what he wants. I might give a room tour. This year instead of bringing my OUYA and other SNES, I brought my OUYA and other PS2. Got those hooked up. Still have a little setting up to do at my desk.

There's one last thing that's kind of been irking me. I have a small dry erase white board that I use to write myself reminders. I normally hang it on the wall with command hooks. I might have one bad strip and it falls off, but normally they stay all year long. Well, this year it doesn't want to stick. I don't think my strips are bad because I got some new ones in a promotional give away, and you don't give away bad product in promotional give aways; that would just make people not want to buy them. I think it's just really humid and it's causing issues with the adhesive. Luckily I can get more adhesive strips tomorrow. I'm just going to wait until it's a little dryer out. Later.

PS: I was going to write my big vacation blog, but unfortunately I got distracted with unpacking. I'll do it tomorrow.

8/28/14

Well today is my last day back home. Tomorrow I head back to school. I packed up my stuff into the rental car my parents got and my grandparents van. I'm working on getting everything in the van. I went out to lunch with my grandparents and we went to TGI Fridays where I had the endless appetizers. I had 2 "orders" of mozzarella sticks. It costs about $7 for a single order and $10 for endless. $14 of mozzarella sticks for $10. I felt rather crappy afterwards. I had some red wine to help sooth the digestion. After lunch we went to their house and I cleaned their hamsters cage 1 last time before I left. I watched some Simpsons marathon. Oh Simpsons. I went out to dinner with my parents, and I had soup because I was still full from lunch. I cleaned my family's hamsters cage one last time before I leave as well. I gathered up the 10-15 PS2 games I want to take to school with me. I'll be getting more as I go because I'm collecting them all. I'm almost done and sure. I just need to check a couple more things. I need to pack up my computer. Later.

8/27/14

Woops, missed blogging yesterday. I fell asleep watching youtube and left the light on. When I woke up 3 hours later I went to bed proper. We left the hotel at around 7:30 and drove home. We unloaded our stuff and started getting me ready for my move out to college. I packed up some stuff. I cleaned up stuff as well. Later.

Today was a decent day of traveling. My brother forgot a bag of clothing, so we took it up to his room and I left them hanging on his door knob, because he definitely wasn't up at the time of us leaving. We drove a long time. I finished Dragon Ball Z. Once I'm in school I'll work on GT, and once I get the box sets, Dragon Ball. I could stream it through hulu, but then they like to expire videos so you have to keep up, and I like to watch it slowly. Oh well. Once we got to the motel, we checked in and saw some museums. You'll hear about it in the full blog. I ran across an endangered species. I'll show it in the full blog, but you can see it on bitlanders now. Later.

8/25/14

Today was a fun day. We moved my brother into his dorm. He reconnected with his friends and they were all happy to see each other again. We went to a Wal-Mart and I got PBR Out of the Chute and Brunswick Pro Bowler for PS2. Read about the experience here, since there was an experience. Then I went to a local game store and bought Army Men Sarge's Heroes, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, and South Park. All decently priced. Dad and I explored the town some and found a really funny bar. You'll hear about it in my full blog of the experience. Now we're just enjoying FXX every simpsons ever marathon. Later.

Today was fun. I saw PepperBC and her family. My dad, brother, and I went on a copper mine tour and that was really fun. I'll do a full blog after we finish having fun. Lots of fun that I'm saving for later. We've been watching Simpsons 24 hour marathon when we're taking some down time. I've been catching up on Dragon Ball Z anime, after a 4 year hiatus. I forgot how slow the series is. Later.

8/22/14

Today was pretty fun. I got caught up on Space Dandy. Now all I need to do is get caught up on Attach on Titan, Blue Exorcist, and Black Lagoon. I hung out with mbinski. We went to the mall and played some arcade games and looked around the mall. We also talked about tech and stuff. I helped my brother load the stuff into the rental van for when we take him back to college. Later.

8/21/14

Today was pretty fun. I got caught up on One Piece, and am now working on Space Dandy. I still have Attack on Titan, Blue Exorcist, and Black Lagoon to catch up on, but I'll get it. I would have probably finished Space Dandy if I didn't have a major craving to go to the arcade and play some pinball and DDR. I did OK on pinball and did better than my skill level at DDR. The one arcade had 3 different DDR machines. On one of them I screwed up the difficulty and ended up playing crazy ridiculous fast and many beats to hit. I normally play on easy/light and occasionally do medium if the song is relatively easy, because I'm just not that great at dancing but can hold my own in gaming. Anyways, this was at the equivalent of super hard, maybe harder. At first I thought you just couldn't fail out of the song, but once I just gave up, it wasn't long before I did so bad that it failed me out of it, and I only gave up because I was getting jelly legs from playing so much and moving so fast. If I kept going, I probably would have completed the song. I was doing really bad, missing probably 80% of the beats, but that was enough to keep in the game.

After the arcade, I decided to be a mall rat for an hour since the arcade is in a mall. I went to FYE and checked out the anime to see if there was anything of interest on sale. Sometimes I get great deals there. I then went to SEARS to look at where the portrait studio used to be, and remembered going there with my grandparents to get my picture taken what seemed like every 3 weeks. If this was a movie or a TV show, you would see the memory ghosts waiting to get the picture taken and getting them taken. Then I pointed and laughed because I hated getting my picture taken; birthday pictures, Halloween pictures, Christmas pictures, thanks giving pictures, first day of school pictures, last day of school pictures, we haven't been there in 2 weeks pictures, etc.

After the mall, I went to what was once a mall but is now just a movie theater and an arcade. The theater plays last run movies, the movies that were in the major theaters, but now aren't and the ticket is only $1.50. We call it "the cheap show." I went to the arcade and played some more pinball and DDR. Then I went to the theater to see what was playing. Nothing really interested me. Here's the podcast I recorded on my drive to and from the arcade. Later

4/24/13

So today I had my final in probability. I already got my grades back. 100% Wooohooo. Then I also got my grades back for my work design class. Also 100% wooohooo. Almost all of my stuff is packed-up and ready to head home. Tomorrow I will do my final pack-up and all will be ready. Yay. Later.

Woops, never published this one. I'll publish it now, over a year later, on 8/20/14

8/20/14

Today was pretty fun. I bought some storage bins for my PS2 games. I then went to the Target that one of my friends works at to see if I could bug him, unfortunately I didn't see him. I bought a nintendo eshop card and used it to buy shovel knight on my 3ds. I wasn't sure if wii u or 3ds, but as my brother pointed out, I'll have more time to play the 3ds once school starts since I have a 15 minute bus ride every day. I filmed a couple of lets plays with my brother. It'll be a while before I upload them. I then went to see Guardians of the Galaxy with my grandpa. It was a good popcorn flick. I filmed a "drive to work podcast" talking about it. It'll be a little while before I upload that one, or maybe I'll upload it tomorrow. I don't know. Later.

8/18/14

So today was kind of interesting. My brother and I went to A&W for lunch and just kind of hung out. I put more of my PS2 games into the bins I had, and I filled that bin as well. Now I have maybe 80 games that aren't in a bin because I ran out of bins. I have about 300 PS2 games and about 300 other games. I have a crazy large collection, and I will never run out of lets play material. I went to the eye doctor today, which means going to the awesome mall. Brought my 3DS and street passed 15 people. Yay. Unfortunately they got rid of 2 of the stores I really liked; the cool toy store and the flea market store. Luckily, the import shop was still there, and so was the gamestop and best buy, but most importantly the import shop. In fact, at the import shop, I found a special Jynx figure, a gen 1 pre-controversy figure. You can read about it at bitlanders. At gamestop I found a cool charging dock for my 3DS, and only $2. Yay. I tested it and it works. Not sure where I'll use it, but I might set it up with my spare charger and put it next to my TV or something.

At best buy I demoed some of those curved TVs. One of them was a 4K OLED curved TV. That looked pretty amazing. With one of the curved TV demos, I like that they had a flat TV of the same size playing the exact same demo right below the curved one for comparison. Same specs, same demo, same brand, just one curved and one flat. How was it, eh, it's pretty cool I guess. I did feel a little more immersed into the content with the curved TV since it gives you more of that "curved peripheral" thing, but it's not a feature I'd spend a lot of money on. I also saw that they had complete seasons of 1980s TMNT for sale for $5 each. I checked the online price to see if it was an in store sale or if it was just the price of the DVDs. Turns out it's the same price online as in store, and since I get cash back through swagbucks with best buy and other online store purchases, I opted to just buy online. Sign up for swagbucks here. Later.

8/17/14

Today was the second day that we were at my grandparents. We left around 10 AM. We stopped at Tractor Supply Co., an farm and similar store. It's where I get my safety vests and other safety clothing. Dad was looking for a small submersible water pump since we just dealt with minor flooding in our basement. He didn't find one that was reasonable priced. I was hoping to find some chicks or ducklings, since they occasionally have live baby chickens and ducks for sale, just sitting in the middle of the store. I live in the suburbs and can't have one, but it's fun to see them. We then stopped at the wal-mart to see if they had my cargo jeans. They didn't unfortunately.

I finished writing my Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles review, read here. Then because I wanted to write another review for another TMNT movie, so I wrote one for BitLanders about Turtles Forever, read here. Then because I was just in a blogging mood, I wrote a blog about chocolate milk. I'm not entirely sure why, but here's where you can read it.

We finished taking care of the water in the basement. We ripped up even more carpet. We might as well get rid of all of it at this point. Oh well. Now my cave is full of stuff again. Now if you excuse me, I have 2013 turtles to watch. Later.

8/16/14

Today was pretty good. I went to visit my grandparents up north. It's great to see them again. We visited and went to church. After dinner my brother and I went to see the new Michael Bay Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or as my other grandparents say "ningin turtles." I'm going to make a full review probably tomorrow, or tonight if I get to it. As a teaser, it's not the worst version of the turtles I've seen. Later.

8/15/14

Today was OK. We had some flooding a couple days ago, no major damage. I found more water today, this time over in my nerd cave. Some water damage to a couple of boxes, but nothing I'm to worried about. We cut up the carpet and now there's an empty spot. We had a parade of classic cars tonight. I'm not a major classic car fan, but I do enjoy seeing all the old cars, many of which I build snap together models of, so it's fun to see the full size version that actually works. I also see them in old movies, so that's fun to see them in real life. Well I went to the basement to check on some other parts of the basement. Unfortunately I found more water. Damn. Oh well. I also stepped on a nail today. That wasn't fun. Luckily it got caught in the super callus I have on my foot (didn't draw blood) and my last tetanus shot was less than 10 years ago. Later.

8/14/14

Wow, it's been a while since I posted here. Well I was working on proprietary projects. But I also ended that internship last week, so yeah, I was just lazy this past week. Today was pretty fun. I hung out with ZeldaMaster93 for most of the day. We filmed a lets play, we watched a movie called "Asian School Girls," very weird B-movie. Basically it's an etchi anime movie that's live action, in physics and fan service. We also watched RWBY. It was good. I watched episodes of Hikaru No Go. I've had that show in my queue for 7 years, it's about time I watch it. I ran some virus scans on the family computer. So far I found over 1000 viruses. I'm about to check on the current scans. Later.
