12/28/15

Today was pretty fun. I went to the salvation army and got some great gag gifts for friends. I was going to see star wars episode 7 but then freezing rain happened, and I got stuck at home. I did some laundry. I watched Kekkaishi and James Bond. I'm almost done with Kekkaishi, but still have like 8 more bond films. I'm going to finish the anime series, but not the movie series before they expire. I edited one of my videos together, and I'll upload it at the end of the week. Later.

Today was really fun. My brother and I tried to go to the salvation army, but it was closed. I watched Kekkaishi, almost done now. Later mskate and I went to the winter light show at our local zoo. I will be writing a full blog for that. It was really fun. Afterwards we went to Applebee's for the free appetizer I had a coupon for. I had mozzerella sticks and she had nachos. It was good catching up with her again. Afterwards we went to tend to the cat that she's cat sitting. She's a dog person, so when she tried calling the cat over like a dog (lying down and patting the floor), I'm like "that's now how you get a cat to come over to you, this is" (getting down on 1 knee and outstretching your hand as a sign of peace, holding still so as to not spook it). The cat stayed away from her and came to me. I'm a bit of a cat person, even though I'm allergic. Later.

Happy Boxing Day. I considered watching a boxing movie to celebrate, but I didn't have the time. I watched some Kekkaishi and The Man With the Golden Gun. Both good. The big thing was I saw my grandpa and aunt and celebrated with them. We got him a new TV. It was fun seeing them again. Later.

Merry Christmas Eve. I woke up and did my morning routine. I watched Kekkaishi and Live and Let Die. I celebrated Christmas with my grandparents. Full details in the main blog. I'm currently watching A Christmas Story 2, and I don't see why Nostalgia Critic hates it. Sure, it's not the original, but it's still pretty funny. Maybe I'll review it on bitlanders. Later.

Today was fun. I watched Kekkiashi and a James Bond film. I wrote all my graduation thank-you notes so that feels good to get off my back. I also played some Roller Coaster Tycoon. I played with my hamster and we both had fun. I also took apart the wicker ball for him since he's afraid of the full wicker things, but loves to chew on wicker. Mskate and I were going to go to the light show at the zoo, but it was too late and raining, so we're going to the one after Christmas. Later.

Today was a nice relaxing day from the craziness. I watched some hulu and worked on my nerd cave. I did holiday chocolate dipping and that was nice. I worked on my bullying PSA. It's really coming along. Later.

Where Have I Been

This is posted to both my Bitlanders Blog and Daily Blog.

So I have some explaining to do. I could be all “it’s my life, you’re just a bunch of internet, it’s none of your business, I owe you nothing,” but that’s a dick move, and I feel like maybe you want to know why I haven’t posted anything in over a month. I mean, I went from posting 3+ things a week to nothing. So, what happened?

Well I recently graduated from college. I had my last semester and all the fun that goes with it. It’s not like I had major projects, but more like I had major life chapter ending activities. I was finishing up that chapter of my life, and I wanted to make sure I finished it right. I’ll upload a blog about graduation in the next week, but first let me tell you about some of the things I’ve been working on.

First off, I wasn’t able to record all the PSS lets play videos I wanted to. We met like 4 times during the time we had, and during then we were only able to record for 1-2 hours at a time. Our schedules just didn’t match up, and 10 of the videos didn’t have the audio recorded so problems. You can watch our riff of Teenagers Battle The Thing for $0.50 on Dailymotion, and it was good. I’m kind of glad that our Indiegogo failed because we didn’t have the opportunity to make enough to give to people. My drying out of lets play videos is part of why I didn’t upload as much.

But that’s only part of it. Not only do I have lets plays to upload, I also had podcasts recorded and daily thing to put in the daily blog. Well, I also wanted to focus on other things IRL. With my film club I lead the initiative of “film something every weekend.” In the past we had a bad habit of not making films, even though we were called “filmmakers” in our club name. I said “this is unacceptable, we need to film stuff.” So I was working with them to make films. I’ll link them once I get them all uploaded. One of these is my masterpiece Bullying PSA/Afterschool Special. It meant so much to me that “if this was the last thing I made, I would be happy, but if I don’t make it, I will regret it for the rest of my life.” I was working hard to make that. While I had no intentions to stop what I’m doing with bitlanders and daily blog, I just wanted to put my focus on that and my school work.

Now last thing is that I just didn’t feel like uploading at the end of the day. Sure, I typically had about an hour block of time every day that I could have watched the 1 video and found a fun title, or reviewed what that audio clip was about, or what I did during the day, but I was just done. I just didn’t want to do that. I don’t really feel the need to apologize for my absence, and this isn’t an apology, but I feel like you should know where I’ve been. I’ll let you know when I get all my other projects edited and uploaded. I also have some projects that I might want to do in the future. Well, this has been Pokematic, signing off, and bu-bye.

Today was rather bad. I set my alarm to late and missed my 1 class for the day. I woke up naturally and I'm like "oh, it's 8:50, I feel refresh- WAIT! IT'S THURSDAY! SHIT I'M MISSING DIGITAL LOGIC AND WE WERE GOING TO LEARN HOW TO DO THE HOMEWORK!" I got in my van and drove to the engineering campus. I made it in time to learn now to do some of the homework problems. Then I just kind of guessed and checked the other questions until I completed them. Then I worked on studying for my world history class, all day. I have a test tomorrow, and I didn't do much studying for it previously. I did that for about 9 hours. At one point I was just super tired and I felt like I couldn't remember any more, and took a little nap. During my nap I just started going over all the info I've been cramming. Like, all the info was running through my brain and linking together into a big story. After I woke up I was ready to do more studying, because now the info was better organized. I did some more cramming, and then I went to a study/review session for my mechanics of materials test that I have tomorrow. 2 tests in 1 day, wish me luck, but I feel confident in the mechanics of materials test. So today was, well realizating. I had my volunteering, mechanics of materials, and world history class. I have tests in both of those classes on Friday. I'm not to afraid of mechanics of materials, but I'm afraid of the world history test. History is not my strong suit, and I have 1 day to study. Eeep. I called my grandpa for veterans day, because he's a WWII vet. I also told my facebook friend vets thank-you for your service. Later.

Well, could have started better, but it still went pretty well all things considered. I woke up at 7 AM because 8AM class, and felt really tired. I went to my 1 class, and I'm glad we just kind of went over "hey here's how this class relates to making smart phones," because I just couldn't pay attention. I had my office hours with my film club, and worked on my world history reading assignments. When I got back to my room, I was like "I should work, but I REALLY need to just lie down and take a little nap. The funny thing about me when I take naps on workdays, I always maintain some level of consciousness, and I'm fully aware of what is going through my head, even though I don't have control of it. It gave me REALLY good insight into what's been eating at me this past week, and also reminded me of a homework assignment I had to do. It was very symbolic, like something out of a cartoon, and I was able to tell what was getting at me and with that understood I was able to work out how to address them.
Well I did some homework and projects, and then went to see Southpaw at my colleges movie night. It's a REALLY good movie. I think I might review it. Later.

11/4/15

Well today was fine. I volunteered like I do every Wednesday, and I had my mechanics of materials class and my history of the world class. It went well, and I mixed up my ancient conquerors and said there was a 0.0052% chance that you're related to Attila the Hun when my professor asked "so what happened to the Huns?" First my professor asked "HOW do you know these things?" and then a bunch of students were like "no you're thinking of Genghis Khan." I also did a project with some students where we made paper cross bows. I'm REALLY happy I didn't know how to make these in elementary and middle school, because these things are easy to come by school supplies, and can be VERY dangerous as per the evidence of sending a pencil across the room at like 30 feet per second and still on the upward parabola. Well today was, eh. I had my digital logic class and lab. In the lab we made an android game. We basically changed the assets of a breakout game. Still fun. I had my health and wellness class, and we talked about eco hippie stuff. Funny thing is I'm making friends in that class, and I kind of thought that I was kind of done with making new college friends, since I previously needed like 2 semesters to form college friends (1 to say "hey you're in some of my classes," and another to say "we share interests, lets be friends). Funny how life works. Later.

Well, let me start with Halloween. I didn't do anything really Halloweeny yesterday because I did all that on Friday. I was going to film a short with my film club, but no one showed up, so I filmed a vlogcast about teen titans go. I did upload my "why I love Halloween" video, but I filmed that on Friday. At midnight I went to Meijer to get the Mii Fighter 3-pack, but they weren't there. I got a Madonna CD instead, because I love that pop princess and it was $5; that's less than if I bought it digitally and without the work of having to burn MP3s to an audio CD.
Well I went to Target in the morning to see if they had them, and they didn't. Luckily the guy at the game counter knew it was a Toys R Us exclusive, even thought the website didn't specify that. I went to Toys R Us and also found Shulk, Grininja, and Fox. I guess Nintendo is shipping more units. I went to church, and tried to film with my film club again, and to no avail, again. I skyped my parents and found that the TV room in my dorm would make the perfect set for the critic critic. Did a little nothing after that (homework, internet videos, etc.) Now I'm here typing this. 10/30/15 Happy Halloween

Today was quite fun. I had my history of the world class and mechanics of materials class, but I dressed up as a shiny oddish. I painted my face green, wore green (or greenish yellow), and held a fake fern behind my head. Before my history class, I waited outside the room where one of the building plants would be if one was there, and pretended to be a plant. A lot of people thought I was a pineapple. Oh well. I also had my honors society meeting, and there was a costume contest. I didn't win, but that's because the winner had a GREAT Hellboy costume, with a working hand. It was really cool. Since you probably want to see it, here's my shiny oddish costume.

Today was pretty good. I drove to class, but realized I left my wallet at my dorm, so I had to ride the bus back to main campus. I had a digital logic test, and it went really well. I had my health and wellness class, and it was good. I might have also recruited a new member for my pokemon club. Yay. I also had my film club, and we filmed a promo real. Today was great. My parents came to visit, and they gave me some stuff, and I gave them some stuff. They came to church with me, and then we went out to lunch. It was good. I was going to film a lets play with my film club, but no one showed up. Oh well. I did my homework and followed through on some job leads. I watched Fox Sunday, and it was fun. Later.

Sorry I've been gone for a while. Life and stuff. I had my digital logic class, office hours for my film club, and a review session for my mechanics of materials class. Today was quite good. I did my volunteering, and that was alright. Then I went to a job fair at my college, and that's when things went really well. I talked to some companies, a lot of companies, and some really liked me, and others were "OK, cool story bro, but we're not looking for full time right now." Where were you guys these last 4 years? Anyway, one recruiter kind of had the wrong assumptions of what I was looking for. He was kind of nervous/hesitant in giving me the information. I gave him my spiel about how I love continuous improvement, and making things better. He started out asking me where I wanted to work, and I said "anywhere, I'm open to relocation." Then he was telling me that I might be in a small town, they have a lot of plants in small towns, so I might not live in a big cultural metropolis. I'm like "OK, I don't really care about that I just want a job, what kind of things do you have for industrial engineers?" Then he started telling me about this management rotation program where we try out like 4 different management positions and they figure out what management we would be best at, and asked if it interested me. I'm like "not really, management isn't really my thing. I want to get out on the floor, learn the process inside and out, and ask myself 'how can I make this better?'" That opened things up. He was then like "oooohhhhhh, we got that in droves. That's basically my job, here's what I do...." I said "yeah, that's what I want to do, that's what I love doing." I then missed my history of the world class because I miss-budgeted my time. I thought class was at 3 when thinking about when I had to leave the job fair, but class was at 2 and I've never been late. Ironic. But good leads. Later.

Today was alright. I started my service learning thing. I had my mechanics of materials and history of the world classes. In my history reading from last night, I read a thing about the Phoenicians being "purple people" and I asked if the song "flying purple people eater" had anything to do with that, and my professor just did not have a response. I seriously wanted to know. After reading that all I could think was "does flying purple people eater have anything to do with Phoenicians? Like is this based off some obscure Greek mythical creature and it was some way for to make people cautious around Phoenicians, and was later adapted to a silly children's song?" Apparently not. I also had a job fair, and Monsanto Seeds was recruiting. When the recruiter asked me if I heard about Monsanto, it took everything in me to not say "yeah the hippies tell me you're evil." I also rigged up something to keep my permanent bracelet hidden up my sleeve. Later.

Today was pretty good. I had my mechanics of materials class and history of the world class. I bombed my test in mechanics of materials, because I made some stupid mistakes. I calculated the max grade I could get and it's a BA. Feels bad man. Oh well. I also paid my parking ticket. Yeah, a lot of negativity, but I enjoyed the rest of it. Later.

Today was great. I was able to sleep in because it's the weekend. Sure, I had to go to a kind of far dining hall because we had a water main break, and I have to drink bottled water because my water is orange, but I filmed "the interview question," a short film with my film friends. Sure, I would have liked to have been completely behind the camera because directing other people is difficult when you're in front of the camera, but it still turned out great, and I'm glad I planned for that possibility. I made a rough cut and it is great. It's not EXACTLY like I imagined it, but I envisioned me wearing different clothes for different characters soooo....

Today could have gone better. I had my mechanics of materials test, and I was only able to complete 2/3s of it. I completed the big question, so I think I'll survive, but it was still frustrating. Oh well. I had history of the world and that was fine. I had pokemon league and that was fun. Oh yeah, there was a water main break in my dorm so we were out of water. This is going to be a fun weekend. I also recorded a podcast about why I don't think time actually exists, or at least isn't a fundamental unit of the 4th dimension like the meter, square meter, and cubic meter is for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimension respectively. I also wrote a blog about why physical games are here to stay for a long time. Later.

Someone wake up greenday, September's over. I woke up to Shut Up and Dance on the radio today, and if it wasn't early in the morning, I would have just listened to the whole thing, but I wanted to be considerate to my neighbors. I had my digital logic class, and that went well. I did my office hours, and got my lets plays uploaded during that time. Saint, Sudden and I started filming this season of lets plays. Later.

Today was good. I had my mechanics and history classes. I worked on some homework. I also did a little amiibo hunting. I got the retro 3-pack, the last one in the store that I had to drive a little farther to than the one I was going to go to on release day, but that one sold out in 2 hours. I also picked up the animal crossing amiibo cards and a gamecube adapter. Yay. Also, Nintendo, ship more amiibo. Selling out in 2 hours is not acceptable. Later.

Starting to bounce back from my crazy weekend. Oh yeah, I had a crazy weekend where I did a lab for 12-14 hours a day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Wiped me out good. I had digital logic lab and lecture, and health and wellness. I had my film club and that was fun. Later.

Today was a little busy. I had digital logic lab and lecture. In the lab I got to play with a VERY basic computer with 8 digit binary. Really cool. In health and wellness we saw community outreach people and I found an organization to work with. I had my film club meeting. It went well. I also got my riff of Teenagers Battle the Thing up. Today was pretty good. I had my mechanics of materials class and history of the world. They were good. I filmed my first ever riff track with Saint and Sudden for the movie "Teenagers Battle The Thing." Bad movie, but fun time. Today was a nice day. I woke up a little earlier than I normally do Sunday. I went to church, and it was good. I watched hulu for a couple hours, then I went to the dinner I organized in memory of my friend who passed away. Basically I called ahead to a bar and grill that's close to campus and said I was having a group of 15-20 people, because that's how many we were expecting to make it in. Unfortunately some people had to cancel and we only had 9 people, but it was still a good couple of hours; but I've been there with groups before, and they're pretty good about handling over or under attendance so long as you're spending money. We shared some stories, talked about the future of our group, invited the alumni that made it to our film shoots, and signed a sympathy card for the family. One of his close friends was able to make it, and he had some good stories. He said he was going to dedicate a short film he's working on to him, even though the short doesn't really have anything to do with him or his ideas. I told him how I was going to dedicate one of my shorts to him that has some similar characters and premise to a project they were working on and I got the best friend seal of approval.

I also watched the Emmy's, and they were alright. I don't watch most of the things that were nominated, so I didn't care a whole lot. However, Andy Samberg giving out his HBO Now login was funny. Later.

Today was pretty good. I had my mechanics of materials and history of the world classes. I watched some Nurse Jackie. I had my Pokemon club meeting, first of the year. It went well. Oh, there was an armed robbery on campus last night. They're becoming rather frequent. My fresman year there was like 1 or 2 the entire year. Sophomore year I think there was 1. Junior year there were 1 to 2 a semester. Then last year we had 3 a semester. I wonder if the liberal idiots that run the university realize they're just making a campus of sitting ducks by making this a weapon free zone. Right, because bad guys follow the laws. I'm glad I'm a black belt and know how to avoid dangerous situations. Later.

Not much happened today. I had digital logic and did some homework. But then some bad news happened. One of the old members in my film club passed away. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him very well, but it's still hard to know someone not much older than you with similar interests passed, especially since a month ago he was on our facebook group page talking about a project we never got around to making. I have a similar project that I'm going to be making in the coming weeks, and I'm going to be dedicating it to him. I spent the rest of the day trying to find videos of him from all the behind the scenes stuff I shot. Since we're filmmakers, we're going to make a nice memorial film. Later.

Today was pretty good. I had mechanics of materials and history of the world. I did a bunch of homework. I wrote my blog for last Friday about amiibo hunting free crap bash. I watched some Sailor Moon, and got caught up on Total Drama Presents the Redonculous Race. Now I'm watching The Guilt Trip on FXX, and it's a pretty interesting concept. So far it's a pretty typical Seth Rogan movie, but that's what I want in a Seth Rogan movie. Later.

Today was all right. I had digital logic lecture and lab. In the lab I learned how a CD works, and how digital music data is stored on an audio CD. It was cool, and I can see how audiophiles want vinyl because it's a little weird how digital waveforms are converted to analog sound waveforms. I had my health and well being class, and that was fine. I had my first filmmakers club, and I'm going to be doing something with them this weekend. Later.

Well today I had my moments remembering what happened 14 years ago. My college flew all our American flags at half mast, and I took a moment and placed my hand over my heart as I looked at the flag.
I did amiibo hunting today because wave whatever was released. I went to Meijer at midnight to get Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorff, and Olimar. I wanted to get 8-bit Mario as well but I didn't have enough money on me so I had to put something back. At Target this morning I got Dr. Mario and 8-bit Mario, and made sure I brought enough money with me. Got all but Bowser Jr. and I don't really care about that one.
I had mechanics of materials, history of the world, and Tri-Z. They were OK.
I also had my last "loads of free crap bash" and it was pretty good. Full blog about these things tomorrow. Later.

Today didn't start out terrible, yay. I had digital logic, and I needed my laptop for class and I forgot it. Hey, bad, but not terrible. Well that was all I had to do today. I edited together my monster video that I started last year. You can watch it here. I also finished writing my vacation blog. You can read that here. I went to return a book that I bought the wrong edition of, and I forgot the book at my dorm and realized it once I got to the book store. I'm also going to try my hand at some amiibo hunting later tonight. Later.

9/9/15

Well today didn't start any better. I had some trouble sleeping last night because it was so hot. I ended up sleeping on the floor for a couple hours because it was cooler than my bed. I also woke up feeling sick. Dehydrated most likely, and tired. I also felt REALLY sweaty and hot, so I got in the shower and just let some cold water run over me. It felt great. For the dehydration, I got some Gatorade for breakfast, and fruit loops. Well after leaving I felt nauseous. Luckily I was close to a door outside because I blew chunks hard. Because I'm a curious engineer and the food wasn't very digested, I looked at it to see if I could figure out what was disagreeing with me. I felt better after puking, but that lasted long enough to get back to my room. I drank some water, found my little garbage bags for when I feel the need to barf again, and lied down on the cool floor. I dry heaved some water and whatever else was left in my stomach. I felt much better after that, like I might actually be able to function today. I don't know what I came down with. I went to the dorm caf again, and this time had some honey nut cheerios and water, because that will be much easier on the stomach and I needed to eat something. I had mechanics of materials at 12 at the engineering campus, and it was kind of hard. Not like the material was difficult, just that I was super tired and hungry. Luckily just syllabus day and a little review content. After class I got a soft pretzle without salt, a bottle of water, and a jumbo rice crispy treat, because all of those would be easy on my stomach. I made the right choice because now all my tiredness was the result of not really eating anything all day, and not sleeping well. I had my history class and it looks like it's going to be an interesting class. I had a grilled cheese after that class, and it was calm. I also had "steak" for dinner because that's what we had at the caf. Now I'm just relaxing. Later.

Well today started off terrible. I went to parking services to get a parking pass. I locked my keys in the car at parking services. I have a spare set of keys in my dorm, on the other side of campus. I took about an hour trying to get to my RA so I could use one of my lock outs, because my dorm keys were in the car and we have 3 different security doors I have to go through, and with it being 8 AM due to my class, not many people are awake. I was 20 minutes late to my class, but since it was the first day I didn't miss much. I had digital logic and health and well being. Health and well being is one of those sort of experimental classes, not much structured learning but touchy feely. Well maybe tomorrow will be better.

9/7/15 Last day of summer

Well I'm going to start this blog up again. Maybe once I start working full time I will figure out a way to do this regularly without giving away sensitive info. But now I'm back with my non-propietary college student life.

So labor day in the US was my last day of summer break. I moved into my dorm on Saturday, finalized unpacking on Sunday, and enjoyed my last day off today. I returned some supplies I thought I forgot and bought again but ended up finding when unpacking. "No, nothing's wrong with the merchandise, I just found my original stuff." I can't believe I forgot my dish soap that I used since freshman year. That bummed me out though, and I had to buy some new stuff.

Well on this day I watched a couple movies on hulu, watched a bunch of admirable animation and animation atrocities on youtube, and filmed "12 years a Dave." I thought of this idea last year, and had some larger, do what the Amanda Show did with BlockBlister, but never got around to it and instead of letting the idea die, I did this. I considered doing some other videos, but decided against it. I finished all my unpacking and got my dorm looking like I want it. It's really hot here, and the dorms aren't air conditioned. Oh well. When trying to fall asleep the first 10 or so minutes of Pooh's Grand Adventure was playing through my head. The whole "on the last day of a golden summer," and "forever." I woke up a couple times throughout the night because I was thirsty, and needed to replace all the water I was sweating out. Later.

Can't go into the details, but I have some interesting things to share. I'm working on a project where it's kind of "we're screwed regardless of what we do." Doing nothing gives us a level 9 issue, doing a permanent fix gives us another level 9 issue, and doing a temporary fix given what we have gives us yet another level 9 issue. I'm going to have to get really creative.

Then there's another project where I have to light a station, and I'm using my skills from film making to do it. Yay, my hobby is helping me in my professional life. Later.

6/15/15 A week in review

Well, this week was pretty cool. I found out I am going to be giving a presentation on my project at work in front of all the big people of the plant. That's going to be cool, especially since I'm an intern. They know what I can do, and they all know me. I also went to a meeting where our projects get put on weekend maintenance, so now I have more tools at my disposal to get my projects done. At that meeting was a big WO guy, and he was glad to see I was back and told everyone at the meeting that I know my way around excel and that if they need a spreadsheet I can make it. That felt good. Then I had a lunch and learn on Friday, and the guy presenting went around to the other interns and asked who they were. I knew him a little so I gave him a playful "what, you aren't going to ask who I am?" look and he said "everyone knows who you are [pokematic]." I just smiled and said "yep." Then after the lunch and learn I was put on the line spinning engines after leak test, because leak test was undermanned and they needed to take their union required breaks. On Saturday I saw my one grandpa for father's day. When my brother and I entered their house I gave him the first hug. I had to assure my grandma "it's his day so he gets the first hug." She understood.

6/13/15 week in review

OK, due to proprietary info, I won't be doing daily blog, so I'm going to start doing week in reviews. After work 1 day one guy's engine was smoking, just billowing smoke. I thought, if it wasn't a competitor car this wouldn't the worst place to have that problem. I had my birthday and my dad and I went out to my favorite pizza place. Really good. After work on Friday my friend zeldamaster93 and I went to see Jurassic World opening day. I'll get that podcast up later today maybe. Later.

Second day at the new job. It really is like I'm living a spin off TV show. I had some work to do at the south plant, and ran into some people I worked with last year. I started my new job today. Well, it's kind of the same position, and I have the same boss, but it's a different shift at a different part of the plant, and with some different responsibilities. The other guys had to go through training, but since I'm returning, they just kind of said "he knows how to not die here, let's get him saving us money." Can't go into detail about the details, because confidentiality, but it'll go good. I also worked on my basement collection some. It's amazing how much some shelving can increase storage space. Turned 6 square feet of floor stuff into 1.5 square feet on a shelf. Later

Today was a nice end of my summer vacation. I went to our local mall and went to the microsoft store and just walked around a little. I updated my game room with some shelves. It looks better and the floor is more open. I went to a barbecue with some family friends. It was nice. Then I filled out all my paperwork for my job starting up tomorrow. Later.

Today was a nice Sunday. I went to church and it was nice. After church I went to some garage sales and got a new media shelf. It'll be a nice addition to my cave. Today was fun. I hung out with my friend and we went to see Cinderella 2015. We had to drive pretty far out to get to a theater that was playing it. It was a really good movie. Check out our review below.


We also talked all the way there and on the rest of the way back. I then went to dinner with my parents. Great time. There was the Splatoon Global Testfire today, but I got there to late and the servers were full. Damn. Looks like I'll just have to wait until drops in 6 days. Later.

Today marked the end of an era. Today we traded in our 2003 Pontiac Vibe for an HHR. That was the first car I drove, first car my brother drove, we had it through elementary school, middle school, and high school. The thing was falling apart. It had petrified crumbs in the carpet. When we were driving to the dealer, the paneling was rattling in the wind. But it was our car, lots of memories. For it's last hurah, we went to A&W and ate in it, because that was the first fast food in it 12 years ago, so it'll be the last fast food in it with us. Day 1, I'm 10 years old, we go to this drive in and I'm eating in the back. Spill my drink, but hey, it was well used. But man, that new to us used HHR is gorgeous. It was our dealer's mom's car and she barely used it. It looks new. If this was an ebay item, it would be "like new." It's great, and now we have 2 HHRs. Since the car dealer is close to my grandpa, we stopped by to say hi. Didn't stay to to long, but enough to say hi. I showed him my senior design project, and he enjoyed it. I realized I haven't finished EWW EWWHPDH12, but I'm working on it. Just need to add some text and title cards. Later.

5/21/15

Today was hard, because my brother and I helped my aunt with yard work. We took apart the garden boxes she didn't want, cut down a dead tree, cut off some branches that caused issues, planted hostas, and removed some of the fencing around her garden. She had a low fence, but that didn't keep the critters out, so she put up a larger one shortly after, but left the old one up and just put the new one around the old one. Well, 10 years of not being able to cut the grass growing between them made it a 2 hour job. Lots of yanking and cutting the base of the fence. If we had a propane torch to burn the 8 inch long grass so it didn't clump it to the ground, we'd have been done in 30 minutes. Well, when we take down the other fence, we'll bring a torch. Later.

Today was pretty good. I watched some Hulu and played Captain Toad. My brother and I cleaned off our garage roof, well, he cleaned it off, I made sure he didn't fall off the roof. I watched hulu while I supervised. I worked on my "Everything Wrong with Everything Wrong with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2." Wow that's a mouth full. Check out my work print. Today was cool. I played Captain Toad, but the big thing was my brother and I cleaning up and out our vibe. My dad wants to get a new car and sell our 12 year old, 150,000 miles vibe that my brother, mom, and I basically drove into the ground. The seats are stained with drinks, the carpet has petrified crumbs that are never coming out, there's magazines that fell into the back seats and can't come out, and the paneling is falling off, but our car dealer wants to give us 3.5K for it. Dad basically said "put as much lipstick on this pig as possible." This is why my brother and I cleaned the floor mats. We literally shampooed the carpets. Head and shoulders baby. Later.

Sorry I got out of the habit of doing this. Today I had a hair cut and allergist appointment. Both went good. I watched hulu and youtube. I tried watching the documentary Bully, but it was just kids telling their stories about how they were bullied, and I have enough first and second hand experience to not have to watch a documentary about how terrible kids can be. I also worked some on an "everything wrong with 'everything wrong with harry potter and the deathly hollows part 1.'" Later

After internet stuff, I went to church. It was good. After some more relaxing, it was time for Mothers Day dinner with my parents, grandparents, and their friends. There wasn't any big thing this year, but there was my grandma insisting that I have a glass of wine with my dinner. I have a glass of wine occasionally after a day of work to help unwind, but not normally with dinner. Well, it wasn't just that I normally don't drink with dinner, but it's also because the wine costs $9 a glass. I don't have a very refined pallet, mostly drinking either $1 single servings or $6 bottles. That $9 glass tasted exactly the same as the cheap stuff  and wasn't even as much as in the $1 single servings. Oh grandma, but she was happy, and since she was the one who was insisting on it, I wasn't carded. Additionally, my grandparents needed more sweet ramooth for their Manhattans. They poured some more and were offering it to their friend who also had a Manhattan, but she didn't want any more. My 20 year old brother jokingly said "I'll have it," and my grandpa was ready to give it to him. My mom and I were quick to say "NO, grandpa stop right there, you're going to get him arrested." Oh my grandparents.

After dinner we cleaned my hamster's cage. He's all clean now. Later.

Today was quite fun. I did a little work to take care of my college stuff. I also hung out with zeldamaster93 for a couple of hours. We played Rayman Legends and Yoshi's Island 2, and talked. Today went pretty well. I watched some episodes of Archer and a Sabrina the Teenage Witch movie. I went to the Salvation Army to see if there was anything new; there wasn't anything, but I saw a new Otaku store on my main street. I hung out with zeldamaster93 and we checked out that new store. Today was alright. I went to WOW! to return some equipment I don't need. I went to the mall to check GameStop and FYE for stuff. Didn't find anything though. After that we went to Toys R Us to see if we could find a little gift for my nephew. Didn't find anything there though. I also checked out the videogames because I'm me. We then went to Best Buy to check for stuff. My brother got computer cleaning stuff, aka a can of compressed air and monitor wipes. After Best Buy we went to Target and we found our nephew a stuffed Thomas the Tank Engine and I found an 80s movie triple collection; The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Yay. After Target we went to MicroCenter. My brother bought a cooling pad thing for his laptop. I checked to see if they Pikmin 3, they didn't. I did a little cleaning up of my college stuff after the shopping. I took some dry cleaning to the cleaners. I used some of that compressed air on my laptop and blew out some dust clouds. later

4/21/15 Senior Design Finished

Woo hoo, senior design is done. The big, end of college career, presentation is done. Yay. My parents and grandparents came to observe, and it all went well. I got my souvenir for this year, one of the pucks that we performed an experiment on. It's great. After the presentation, all the members had a celebratory half shot of bourbon. After that I went out to lunch with my family. After that, I crashed after a week of running on adrenaline. I did a couple of things after that. Later.

Today went well. I had a meeting with my senior design, and things went well. Got more feedback and will have to be ready by Friday. It'll be ready. I also got 3 hours of much needed community service. Later.

4/10/15 Crazy safe ride story

Hey, sorry I've been neglecting this blog. I've just been really busy and this isn't a top priority. I'll probably be gone again until the end of the semester. Projects man, just projects. Well, here's a little story from probably my craziest time doing the safe ride community service. I had some interesting patrons and saw some crazy things, like a drunk girl running towards the party house, try to jump over the curb, miss, fall on the ground, and then chose to stay on the ground because then she didn't have to fight gravity. But that's nothing compared to these patrons.
We picked up I'm guessing a grad student and his friend. They were new age hippies. Well, the lady was, the man I'm not sure. Now when I say hippy, I mean hippy. She was convinced that vaccines cause autism, and that the government wants to control the food you can grow so they can control your mind, and "we need to march against the man," and "I've lived on the streets, I know who I can trust." Not only was she very vocal in her opinion, she was also quite plastered. Her sentences were not very coherent. Her friend was also quite plastered, and oblivious to social norms. Like, he said we were taking him to his brothers house where his brother killed a guy. WHAT???!!!! We normally drop people off in places relatively close to campus. There's different apartment complexes and rented houses. Well, we drive to a neighborhood that's outside the city limits, and is a little sketchy. Like, not inner city hood sketcy, but red neck "there's probably a meth lab in one of these houses" sketchy. It was rather uncomfortable. Not "I'm afraid for my life" uncomfortable, but "oh what did we get ourselves into?" uncomfortable. I didn't think they had any weapons, and even if they did, they weren't with it enough to use them effectively. Well, after all is said and done, they tipped us really well. We got $36 from that ride, so there's that. We won the tip contest of the night.
I've done the safe ride thing for 4 years now, and have had probably over 100 people, and they were the most interesting. Later.

Today went pretty well. I went to church, called my grandpa, and did some editing of my latest video. Well, my latest video is going to be what I filmed today. I "cleaned" my hat because I haven't cleaned it since I got it 2 years ago. I filmed a "lets wash," and I'll get it up probably later tonight or tomorrow. I also made a bitcoin faucet rotator. Today was good. I finished working on a project thing. I did some work on my latest video project. This is probably going to be my most ambitious project from my end, because unlike other projects where I know exactly what needs to happen and have a script, this is a "chisel away at an hour of footage" thing. Today kind of sucked. I worked on a project, and then senior design, and I was so tired, and run down. It felt like it was like 4 or 5 PM, but it was 2. When I got back, I felt horrible. I tried to do some things, and the thing that worked the best was a wet wash cloth over my head. Oy. I need to go to bed I think. Later.

Today was alright. I had my purchasing class, and a test in it that I didn't do as well as I would have liked. I had my logistics class. I met up with my group to go over some project stuff. I tried to film a project, but that didn't happen because we didn't have all the necessary materials. I skyped mskate. She's doing well. I finished up Gurren Lagann. I didn't care much for that series. I prefer Eureka 7. Later.

Today was good. I had my purchasing class. I worked on my purchasing project most of the day. Then I watched a bunch of episodes of SAO, because my friends and I are rewatching it before the premier of SAO 2 this weekend. All went well. I went to church, unpacked my stuff, and enjoyed the last day of my vacation. I watched Fox Sunday Funday, and I wasn't sure how I would like having another human on Last Man on Earth, but she actually feels quite natural. She adds a friend for Carol and another woman to make Phil crazy, but in different ways. We now have everyone to make a complete sitcom. However, NO OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD COME INTO THEIR WORLD! Phil doesn't need any guy friends, he has the balls with faces at the bar for that. No other women because the new lady fills all the needs of non-wife women in a sitcom. I will only accept re-population children. I also started rewatching Sword Art Online with one of my friends, because SAO 2 premieres this week on Toonami, and we want to be ready. Later.

3/14/15 Pi Day of the Century

Today is the Pi Day of the Century, 3.14 15 9:26:53 and it was fun. I gave my brother a text at 9:26 AM and tried to call him again in the PM. I went back to school on the train. Watched Justice League Flashpoint Paradox and Kiba on the ride back. Kiba is an amazing series, full of symbolism, literary devices, complex story developments and situations, and is the perfect candidate for a high school English class book. To bad it's not mind numbingly boring, terribly paced, and/or written by a dead guy. Later.

Today was fun. I lounged around, then I went out Amiibo and Pikmin 3 hunting. I went to Best Buy, Toys R Us, GameStop, and Target. I found a Sonic Amiibo, but couldn't find any others. Nintendo, why is Pikmin 3 rare? Once my parents got back, we went to dinner. I got cheesy bread. Yum. Later.

Today was a good day. I spent the day with my grandparents. We went out to lunch, went to some stores, and then spent time at their house. It was a nice time. I finished Hikaru No Go, and it felt good to finally finish a series that I've watched on and off for 7 years. Now I'm getting back to watching a series that I started 5 years ago and then stopped. Today was fun. I hung out with my good friend ZeldaMaster93. We went to Best Buy because I needed an external hard drive. I had 4 gigs left on my hard drive. I bought a 1 tera drive. Now I have a couple hundred gigs free after moving a bunch of video files off it. After best buy we went to Target to see if I could find any of the DS Pokemon games. I didn't. After that we went to the mall. We went to GameStop, Hot Topic, FYE, and Sears. Sears no longer has a videogame section. It consisted of 2 copies of GTA V. After being mall rats, we went back to my place and watched Donkey Kong Country the TV series since I rented it from Family Video. It was fun. Basically my day. Later.

Today was a pretty good day. I watched many episodes of Hikaru No Go. Only 6 episodes left. I rented Birdman and Boyhood. Both of which are quite amazing. I got a hair cut. I'm looking good. Today was a nice easy day. I watched some Hulu, played some video games, and skyped my brother. I was on a panel for "remembering the PS2 15 years later" and I was the resident "PS2 fanatic," seeing that I love the PS2 and am working on a complete collection. It was fun. Watch it here. I also watched the latest episode of "Last Man on Earth." I'm not sure if I like where the series is going. End of episode 1 add a female companion, OK, I can accept that. They would have trouble writing an entire TV show that only has 1 actor. The main character isn't Tom Hanks, so he wouldn't be able to handle it. But now they're adding another female, no, just stop. If you want to have a plucky friend that helps them get in situations, OK, whatever. Give "Luise" a friend. I would rather her not be there, but if you need a 3rd character to help have characters bounce around, I will accept that. But if you add more characters, then this isn't a show about "the last man on earth," it's going to be the last people on earth, and they're going to build some kind of society, and it'll end up being just another dystopian future story. 3 people at most will still leave enough for "we're at the end and alone on earth;" any more and it's just a dystopian future with a tribe of people. Today was good. I returned the returnable bottles and cans. I went to gamestop to see if they sold PS2 games now that they're accepting PS2 consoles. They aren't. I also looked at the amiibo. I'm going to buy some. Get ALL the amiibo. We had a mass in memory of my uncle, and that was nice. Afterwards we went out to dinner. I had a porterhouse steak. It was big. Later.

Today had a funny start. I set the wrong alarm and instead of waking up at 8AM I woke up at 9AM, and I have a 9:30 class. I rush dressed and stuff pack up, grab my box of SpongeBob SquarePants cereal and head to class. I was eating my cereal dry in the 10 minutes before class started. People thought it was kind of funny, and I'm fine with that. Had purchasing and logistics. They went fine. Then it was a matter of doing homework. Oh, and I found out why my webcam started acting funny at the end of the picky eating podcast. I have 4 gigs of space left on my hard drive. I managed to fill 680 gigs of storage. Most of it is video files, so I need to get an external drive. Later.

Today was good. I updated the sites I manage, something I should have done a long time ago. I also was on the colexions international show and tell panel through google plus. It was fun. I showed off a bunch of TV on DVD sets I have. Uploaded my 1 hour podcast on being a picky eater. Now I'm doing a google hangout with ZeldaMaster93 watching Toonami. Later.

2/27/15

Today was an interesting day. I did laundry, nothing surprising there. I did my encoding of my hour long podcast, and it took all day to encode. I started encoding at 10 AM and it stopped at about 11 PM. Then at the Pokemon League, one of my friend's got a speeding ticket, and I found out I've been watching to much It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Why? Well he wanted a way to get out of it, and I suggested, with a level of seriousness, to break his speedometer and say "well I didn't know how fast I was going because my speedometer was broken." He then said "yeah but getting it fixed would cost more than the ticket and it's illegal to drive without a speedometer." That was a "gang" style plan from Sunny. Then during the game, we do a 6 player free for all, where everyone battles everyone. I have a wigglytuff that has a poke-power that "puts all active Pokemon to sleep." The idea is that for one on one, it puts you and your opponent to sleep, but for our battle, we interpreted that as "all 6 people's Pokemon are asleep," and I have a bit of a reputation of putting people to sleep. That was really funny. Later.
Oh, I also updated Opera, but instead of replacing the old version, it kept the old version in addition to adding the new one. I'm going to play around with that later probably. lol

Today was good. I had my classes. Kind of funny thing happened. In my logistics class, my professor asked "what's the best method of forecasting?" I just start laughing. Not out loud bust a gut, but chuckling under my breath and bending over to contain myself. The professor knows me a little, knows that I know my stuff and what not. He asks me what I thought and I just said "none, they all suck. I've tried every one of them, you just can't predict the future." Not exactly the answer he was going for, but he liked the idea. It was a little PTSD from my operations and productions class.

Well after class stuff, I filmed a 1 hour podcast on being a picky eater and why there's nothing wrong with it. 15+ years of repressed social stigma, longest podcast to date. Then at my film club we filmed future young adults react to a book. That was fun. Later.

Today and yesterday was quite fun. My mom and her best friend came up to visit her friend's son and I at college, her friend to see a hockey game, and for mom and I to see Spongebob Sponge out of Water. Read the review here. I did the safe ride service on saturday night. It was crazy. We got stuck in a snow drift. I got out to push and fell in the snow. I eventually got behind the wheel and aggressively rocked us out of the drift. Then I ended up working until 5 AM with that. Oh, and my suit mates decided to be loud at 11 AM, so I'm tired. Today I went out to linner with the whole group, and had riblets at Applebies. They were good. Now I'm watching The Oscars. I'm going to do a thing, probably a podcast. Later.

Today I was able to abstain from meat. Yay. I had my purchasing and logistics classes. I worked on my senior project. I had my film club meeting, and it was equipment night, where we show off and demonstrate how to use our equipment. Everyone has their fancy DSLR cameras with different lenses, and I show off my webcam I got from mycokerewards. They're like "here's now you control white balance, and here's the difference between the lenses, and how you control exposure, etc," and I'm just like "this is my webcam, it takes decent quality video, it works directly with my web cam software, it has LED lights that add more lighting if needed." OK, today I feel like a bad Catholic. It's Ash Wednesday for those of you who don't know; no meat and go to church, start of Lent so also give up something. Well I failed the first 2. Today was a bit hectic though. I had to get a thing turned in for my senior design, and it took way longer than it should have, mainly because I had to get so many signatures. What should have taken an hour max ended up taking 6 hours. Anyways, when I got back to my dining hall at 6:30, I had my cheeseburger because I was quite hungry. Well then I saw people with ashes on their foreheads. I suddenly realized I missed Ash Wednesday mass AND just ate meat. Well, I'll pray and not eat meat tomorrow. When I screw up the meat thing during lent, I abstain from meat the next day when I can eat meat just because I screwed up the first time. Later.

Today was good. I had management and logistics, and they were fine. After those I hung out in my dorm for a couple hours. I watched Cherrybomb on Hulu, and it was, well, read my review here. It was intended to be a bitlanders blog, but it ended up being a full blogger blog. Now for you special blogger people. As you may or may not know, I filmed a series of lets plays with my friends the saint and sudden for Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. 2 weeks ago we finished the game. Well two of the unlockables is being able to play with a Henry Jones Sr. skin and a Han Solo skin. I spent 3 hours watching and reading artifact walkthroughs to get enough hats to unlock both. Tomorrow we're going to film 2 bonus parts, one as Henry and one as Han. Then we'll film our next series, but you'll see that in months. Later.

Happy Valentine's Day. I didn't do anything special for Valentine's. I skyped my parents and did safe rides home. It was fun. I ended up giving one of my friends a ride home, and it it was really funny. My partner and I played "cash cab" with him, ask him some trivia questions and see what he says. Later.

Today I had yet another career fair. This one was more general than the ISM one with more companies and more skillsets. I did all my searching and networking for an engineering internship. If time permitted, I would have spoken with one of the investment firms about how I'm doing with my bitcoin investments. Unfortunately the fair ended before I was able to do that. I was able to talk with one of my interested company recruiters about bitcoin with the "what do you like to do for fun" question, and he knew a little about it. That was cool. I also had my film club that night. We did a lets play and I worked on the details of one of my short ideas. Later.

2/11/15 Where have I been

OK, so it's been over a week since my last post. Basically losing my grandma turned my world upside down and I wasn't in a blogging mood. Things are back to normal though. I had a job fair tonight. I spent the entire day prepping for it, running over what questions I thought the recruiters would ask and how to answer them. It went really well. A lot of them seemed really interested and the most interested company is not terribly far from home. I also filled out some paperwork for my senior design/honor college thesis and got that turned in. Later.

2/2/15 Another Angel Joins the Heavens

Today we had a snow day, and that was really good considering the situation. Today, February 2nd, my grandma passed on. It was rather sudden, and it hit like a freight train. I was sitting at my computer, and I got the call. Mom asked me where I was, I told her my room, and she gave me the news. After that, I cried loudly for at least 30 minutes strait, then sobbed for 10 minutes. It was a hard day. It was just hard. Nothing really else happened today. Later.

Today was snowmagedon here. I had church, and that was a trek. Mass was rather empty because of the snow and superbowl. After church, I went back to my dorm and played Pokemon Omega Ruby. Then it was time for the super bowl. I watch the commercials. My favorite is probably the snickers one.


Why this one, because I like the justaposition between Danny Trejos and the Brady Bunch. Also, we had our 3rd armed robbery on campus this school year. Expect a catholiccontriversy video on it tomorrow. Later.

Today started out great. I had a dream that was so funny I woke myself up laughing. It was about how you're supposed to drive up to the food window to mail a letter at dairy queen instead of putting it in the mailbox under the order microphone, and that it's really bad to scream "HEY!" at the drive through guy even if he's not part of the game. Yeah I don't know, you just had to be there.

Anyways, today I played Pokemon Omega Ruby all day. I didn't have any work, so I played my new addiction. Because I knew I would be getting them eventually, I decided to order X, Y, and Alpha Sapphire because I want the club Nintendo codes before they expire. I also had my pokemon club meeting, and got killed in the first 5 minutes of the game. Oh well. Later.

Today was good. I had a quiz in purchasing and had management. I had an honors advising meeting. It went well. I had my filmmakers club. We worked on stuff. I have some projects in the works. I cleaned out my school email. I had 461 unread emails and moved that down to 40 (I purposely mark emails I need to revisit as unread for easy finding, but most of them were newsletters I just didn't read). I also got Omega Ruby in the mail. I picked treeko. Later.

Today was fun. I enjoyed time off. I also finished up the lets play of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. That was fun. Did a little studying. Later.

Today was my work day. I had my purchasing and management classes. In management we had a quiz and played with lego. This is funny, my friend got the test for Thursday instead of for today. Then purchasing was fine. I filled out the necessary information for my room next year. I then played sims. Fun time. Later.

Today was a Monday. I had to meet with my senior design group. That went well, now we know we're going. I also had my senior design business edition class. That went well. I also got my book for my quiz I have tomorrow. Lucky. Now I'm enjoying some free time. Later.

Today was good laid back. I went to church, watched TV, noodled on the web, and filmed the second half of a short that I made for my film club. I'll release it soon. I fear though that this is the calm before the storm. Like things are about to get REALLY busy. Later.

Today was very laid back. I did bitcoin faucets. I watched TV and hulu. I saw one of my friends at breakfast that I haven't seen in a while so that was fun. I also got caught up fully with toonami. Yay. The biggest thing I did was I a guest pannelist on the international collectors show and tell with colexions.com. Being my first time I didn't do a whole lot with it, but I had my time to show some stuff off and drop trivia, even if I fumbled over my words on multiple occasions. Hey, I'm not used to live shows. Today was a working day. I had my purchasing class and management class, and met with my senior design group. That was all well. I had my filmmakers club meeting, and we're going to do a cinejam thing where we make a bunch of shorts and then transition from one to the other. It also took a while, but I finally got Subs VS Dubs 2 distributed on all my distribution networks that I want it on. Later.

Today was fun. I didn't have any class today. I checked up on how to sign up for my room next year. I played the sims on PS2. After dinner, I filmed some lets plays with a couple of friends. We played Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. It was quite fun. I also uploaded the final version of my subs vs dubs 2 video. Having a little trouble with a couple of the sites, and embedding. But it's up on dailymotion and bitlanders. Unfortunately it's not on tune.pk or our site. Oh well. Later.

I had a great morning. While I probably would have wanted to sleep a little longer, Footloose was playing on the clock radio when it woke me up. It was just getting led in by the DJ. I felt like I was in a movie or Regular Show. I did a little dancing while getting ready in the morning. Well then I had my business classes. One of them was the purchasing class that we only had for 5 minutes the first week. My professor is very colorful. He says "fuck" a lot. After class I played the sims for 2.5 hours. I didn't expect to play that long. I also narrowly escaped a collapsing bitcoin investment site. It was up yesterday, and I just got enough bitcoin to invest in their site. Then they stopped working. That was a close bullet. Later.

Today was laid back. I did a little tiding up. Now you can walk everywhere in the dorm without worry. Watched hulu. I woke up late and missed morning mass, so I went to late mass. I was going to go to the convenience store to get a bottle of wine, but it was to late, and I have to walk down a bit of a trail to get to the store, and I'm not about to get jumped over some alcohol. I'll just do that tomorrow. I ordered a pizza from Hungry Howie's, the first time I ever ordered delivery in my 4 years of college. It was some good pizza. I'll soon be trying out a new bitcoin investment site, just need a little more bitcoin before I try it. Later.

Today was a fun day of non-productivity. Basically I watched TV and Hulu while surfing the internet and making bitcoin. I cleaned up my dorm some. Picked up all the news paper comics and entered the codes from lottery tickets. I then looked through the reward catalog and most of them were sweepstakes entries. Gee I wonder why. I then went to my pokemon club and we played some pokemon TCG. Later.

This semester is going to be interesting. I have only 2 days of structured classes. Today I had one of them. Then I spent a lot of time watching youtube and hulu. I'm going to make a major dent in my backlog this semester I think. Later.

Today was interesting. I had a class at 9:30, it got out early. Then after a while, I had another class, and that lasted only 5 minutes. It's supposed to be a 1 hour and 45 minute class, but it only lasted 5 minutes. I got my alergy shot. Later.

Today was my first day back at school. I had 2 classes, both of which only meet on Mondays. Well, both were senior design. Well, traditional engineering senior design, and one that ended up being "senior design: BE" (business edition). After senior design: BE, I laughed all the way back to my dorm, because after being kicked in the balls by my courses so many times, I just laugh in the face of a crazy semester. I also fixed a couple of things in my subs vs dubs 2 video, and I plan on "leaking" my original work print, and then release my final product a little later. Later.

Today was my last day of freedom. How did I spend it? Well I went to church, slept in, went to lunch and dinner at the open caf, bought the only book I need online, and edited my second subs vs dubs video. I would have it rendered and up, but it wanted to take over 8 days to render. Later.

Today was getting back to college. I woke up around 9 AM. I rode the train back, and watched Kiba on the train ride. Kiba is a great series. Once I got back I unloaded my bag. My bag was really heavy. REALLY HEAVY. I surfed the web some, got caught up on youtube videos. Tried to get caught up on toonami, but didn't. I watched Rollerball, and that was an interesting movie. I thought I might have lost my glasses, but I found them in my videogame box. Now I'm about to get to bed. I made a proof of concept/trailer for my critic critic series. See here. Later.

Today was fun. Mskate came over and met our hamster. We then visited. It was really funny. When my brother answered the door, she said "oh it's you." That was funny. My brother and I went out to lunch, and we were surprised by my grandparents showing up. We kind of scheduled for meeting today and watching the interview. However, I thought we rescheduled to do it tomorrow because it was so cold. Guess there was some miscommunication. Anyways, we watch the interview, and you can read my review here. After the movie, we went out to dinner. It was good. Now I'm just relaxing. Later.

Today was pretty fun. I didn't do much, but it was fun. I converted one of the old home movies to digital. It wasn't one of the shorter 2 hour, recorded on the VHS camera, videos; it was one of the 6 hour, compilation of videos, recorded on the Hi-8 camera and then transferred to VHS. If I can find the master Hi-8's then I would be happier. While it was capturing onto my laptop, I watched Guess Who, Happy New Year Charlie Brown, and Toward the Terra on Hulu on the desktop. Later that night, my brother and I played a game of Go, both our first game ever. I've been watching Hikaru No Go for a long time, so I had a little idea of what I was doing. He didn't. He ended up resigning. Later.

Today was busy. So busy, I took my ADHD medication. I followed up on some major job leads. I checked to make sure my shoes got in at the store. I did some other things that I don't remember exactly but they were important. I saw both Zeldamaster93 and mbinski, both at different times. Zeldamaster93 during the day and mbinski at night. With zeldamaster93 we played this space invaders remake update thing and watched the first episode of panty, stocking, and garter belt. With mbinski, we finished the movie my brother and I were watching and then talked. We were watching "The Family." It's a really funny movie with a lot of nods to mobster movies that tells the story of after the mob. Later.

Today was fun. I filmed a part 2 of Subs VS Dubs. I then went to the movies with my grandparents and brother. We went to see The Penguins of Madagascar. It was really funny. I will see if I do a blogger or bitlanders review. After the movie, we went out to dinner at red lobster. Since I don't like sea food, my options were really limited. I had 1 of 2 steaks. I got the pepercorn sirloin and not the new york strip. My grandma tried to get me to get the new york strip, but I said no. I then leaned over to my brother and whispered "get the ribeye." That's a joke from when I was in high school and I went out to dinner with my mom and grandma, and I was looking at the steaks. I decided I wanted to see what a flat iron steak was lie, and my grandma made a big deal about how I should get the ribeye, and so "get the ribeye" has been a family joke since. After dinner I played some Bayonetta on my Wii U. Bayonetta is amazing on the Wii U, and if you aren't playing with one of the Nintendo themed costumes, you aren't playing it right and might as well be playing it on PS360. Later.

Sorry I haven't been bringing you into the new year. On new years I watched Toy Story 3 with my family and watched the ball drop. Taylor Swift was wearing something slightly skimpy, and said "I'm cold." Girl it's New York in winter, of course it's going to be cold. Anyways, not much happened since then, until today. However, there was to much to talk about for here, but not enough for a full adventure, so read the story on bitlanders here. Later.
