Sorry I've been distant. Here are some fun things I did over the weekend. Saturday I did some deep cleaning. I cleaned my bathrooms really deep (shower, toilets, and floors) and kitchen sink. They look really good now. My shower door is supposed to be transparent, but the build up of soap scum made it look frosted, and my kitchen sink barely looked like stainless steel. I watched Monk on amazon, and later that night I had a dream where I was Monk trying to solve one of his weird cases. When I woke up I said "I need to stop watching so much Monk." I saw Spiderman Far From Home, and it was good. I went out to the meat market to get bacon ends and pieces for the campout next weekend, but it was closed when I got there. Dang-it.
Now for Sunday. I had church and it was good. I had patreon calls with a guy I support, and it was funny. He uses discord for the calls, and I did the 2PM one, and it was fun. Then later when I was rendering videos I was wondering why my computer was running so slow. Then at around 6PM he had another call, and because I had discord running in the background I just started hearing them talk. I then jumped onto the call, and since I've been a long time supporter and am friends with everyone on the call I was allowed to stay. Later.

4/27-28/19
Thus was a fun weekend. My Pre-order of Days Gone came in, and I'm quite happy with it so far. Is it perfect? No. But it's a single player first game with no "shared world" crap. Not exactly my first choice of game, but honestly at this point, if there's a focus on single player I'm interested. I also watched some movies on hulu, fun times. I saw some movies, Wonder Park and Aleta Battle Angel at my cheap show, and Shazam at the normal movies. Wonder Park is a great film. Wonder Park was great. Don't let the critics tell you otherwise, they were just expecting something different and therefore missed the point. I cleaned my grill (mainly the cart it's on and exterior, because it was covered in grease), so that's good. I got caught up on Bill Whittle content. I also read some more pages of Catcher in the Rye and took more notes. Oh man, this is going to be an epic series. Later.

4/13-14/19 (and a little of 12th).
Oh man, Friday the 12th was my boss's last day. We had some fun in his last half hour trying to get a group picture and saying goodbye. That was a fun way to end the week. Because it was his last day and I knew he wouldn't do something like this, I wore my Pikachu shirt to work. I did this when one of my other coworkers left our location. I also bought a 33 inch CRT TV at a garage sale, and struggled it up the stairs of my condo. It took me about 30 minutes. I'm still a little sore.
Saturday was a pretty simple day. I did some cleaning and laundry, and video chatted with my girlfriend. I also played some videogames and watched hulu. I chatted with ultranatic about future projects and possible colabs, so stay tuned.
Sunday was fun. I went to church and it was Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is probably my favorite mass, because we get palm branches. Loved it when I was a kid, still love it today. I also had a patreon call with AniMat, and that was pretty fun. The big thing I did was I went to my parents around 4PM and we made pretzels and dyed eggs. I brought the egg dye kit, and should have brought my vinegar since my parents was old and a little diluted. Either way it was a really fun thing. Afterwards we went out to dinner, pizza at our favorite place. Grand old time. Later.

4/6-7/19
This was a fun little weekend. First off, we had a going away party for my supervisor on Friday at a BBQ place, and being Lent that meant I couldn't have any of the yummy meat. So instead I decided to try an impossible burger (veggie burger that's supposed to taste like meat). I figured "if it's good, I'll enjoy it, and if it's not, I'll douse it in BBQ sauce to mask the bad flavor." I didn't have to mask the flavor though, because it was actually good. I went to see my grandparents and help them move some things, but first I went to see my parents and brother. Since I got there early, I hung out with my dad and brother for an hour or so. We watched SpongeBob season 10, and it was fun; 3 grown adults, just watching SpongeBob together and laughing at the same things, and this was the first time we really did this exact thing. Seeing my grandparents was fun. We moved photo albums, and went out to lunch. After lunch before we left I told them about my girlfriend, and they basically freaked out with excitement (they've known her for a while, so it was funny). My parents gave me a box of stuff from the computer room, and in that box was our old phones from like 10 years ago. On my brother's phone I found some creepy pasta fuel. I'll turn it into something this weekend. I also went shopping, and bought 15 pounds of meat at the meat market. I got ground beef and wanted to make some hamburgers and try to make some meatballs. I think I screwed up the meatballs since they got burnt, but whatever, I'll try again next time. Sunday was pretty laid back. I made some of the meat, went to church, and talked with my girlfriend. Nothing much else of note. Later.

3/16-17/19, St. Patricks Day
So this weekend was kind of slow, kind of. I binged the remaining 13 episodes of The Mick and recorded the episodes of The Mick Logs. I will trickle them out over the next month or so. I also bought a frame for my poster for The Monkees Present The Mike and Micky Show, and hung that poster and my autographed poster of The Day Job (a feature length student film made by my college film club). I played some Stardew Valley too. For St. Patrick's Day I wore my green island shirt, ate Lucky Charms for breakfast, corned beef and potato perogies for lunch, and pork chops and 3 fried potatoes for dinner (these were small, I'm not a glutton). I also called my grandparents. I digitized some unusual VHS tapes I got at thrift stores. There are some that will definitely make for good videos in the future. I also had the patreon call with...my mutual friend (that's a peanut butter podcast reference). Not much else. I might record the remaining scenes for the collaboration I'm doing with my mutual friend. Later.

3/9-10/19
This weekend was quite fun. On either Monday or Tuesday my garage door opener broke. One of the brackets sheered off and the belt stopped driving the door. I located the part number and bought a replacement on amazon (thank-you prime) and had my dad and brother over to fix it (and rotate my mattress, and move the TV unit I got over the summer up from my garage into my unit). Dad and bro get here Saturday around 10 AM and we begin our work. I grab my tool bag and the part, and we start assessing the situation and how we'll go about this. We take the drive bar off and replace just the part that got broken. Well, that didn't quite work since it also required the thread pin that came with it (it was a slightly different size pin). About 40 minutes after and we get it fixed, so we think. We try it, and the door won't fully open. It kept stopping right as it was going up. At first we thought there was something that was getting caught on the track, and we did locate a portion that was out of alignment. We knocked it back in, but to no avail. Now dad figures there's too much friction on the wheels and tracks, so we go to the auto parts store for lube. We got a can of WD40 and a pound of grease. We were going to get a 5 ounce tube, but it was the same price for a pound (lower quality, but still effective). Now for a funny story. As we were checking out, some guy in a mechanic's outfit and grease covered hands, and asked my dad for help turning over his car. He was like "hey man, I need help turning over my car, can you help me?" and my dad said "uhhh, OK." The guy behind the counter said "I would have helped him, but whatever." My brother and I go out to see them working on this guy's car, and he had some funny thank-you stories about how "this is what happens when you let other people work on your car," as he drives away with exhaust coming out of the side of his truck. We had some laughs about it afterwards, and his logic of "well it's broad daylight and I have my sons with me, this can't turn out really bad." My brother and I cover the tracks in grease while my dad sprays the wheels with WD40. We used half a pound of grease, and we were glad we bought the pound of grease. Well that didn't quite work since it opened twice, but then stopped. Eventually we figured out the opener doesn't like to be opened multiple times in a row, and the job was done.
Between this ordeal, my brother and I rotated my mattress, because I was making a grove in it. We also moved the TV unit I got over the summer at a garage sale for free. It's one of those wood panel things where you put a CRT in the middle, can put a VCR above or below it, and then there are drawers for tapes and other things. I pulled one of my spare CRTs out from behind my VHS wall (I have a "hide in plain sight" thing with my VHS wall), and my brother and I put it in. It's great. After all this we went to a local bar where I bought my brother and dad lunch. It's this bar that has a unique variety of beer, and they like beer. We each had a beer that matches our tastes while talking about life and eating a lighter lunch. After lunch and some more time, we went to mass with my grandparents in honor of my uncle, and afterwards we went out to dinner. It was a good meal, and got to see everyone. Good time.
Now for Sunday. I met my girlfriend halfway between our cities for an afternoon of fun and exploring. We went to the outback steakhouse for lunch, and that was a good meal. I also showed her how to put more windshield wiper fluid in her car (I like being able to be her handyman, I've helped with other handyman chores in the past). After lunch we went to the mall in the city and just walked around holding hands. We went to some stores, and I helped her pick out some new ear rings (because she needed some where the backs wouldn't fall out, and I know my physics properties). It was a pretty empty mall, with a lot of vacant store locations, but there was a little arcade with "quarter in-quarter out" coin pushers. Since I have a coin pusher, I looked at them to see if it was worth playing, but after looking at them I said "no, those are not ready to pay out." We also took some pictures, because we wanted some pictures together. After the mall we went to get ice cream. That was fun. We did a little more exploring of the city, but didn't find anything else, so we just sat in my car listening to music. After 4 or so hours together, we went home. Apparently I didn't fully close the hood of her car, and it was rattling (she has one of those hood locks that keeps it from flying open if not fully closed). I got a concerned call on my drive home, and I explained what happened and how to fix it, and after stopping at the next exit everything was fine. That was my weekend. Later.

3/2-3/19
OK, so this was a semi-eventful weekend. I did laundry, and was expecting to do a little bit of video production. Well, then my toaster oven caught on fire. My coworkers and I went to Wahlburgers for lunch on Friday (because we were by one on a day trip) and I had left over onion rings. Well, they were REALLY greasy, and then I looked away and the grease caught on fire. I had to use my fire extinguisher, and pulled this little vlog out of it.
OK, so with that out of the way, the rest of my Saturday went pretty uneventful.
Now for Sunday. I went shopping. I bought a weight blanket, and kitchen window fan, and some consumables at the outlet store. Then I bought meat at the meat market. I bought more than I expected, planning just some bacon or something, but I bought like 15 pounds of meat. Yay. I got pork stew, and made a nice stew that lasts 3 meals. Also yay. I played a lot of stardew valley as well. I'm remembering why I love this game so much. Not much else to talk about. Later.
