This was a surprisingly full weekend. Friday my aunt asked me if I wanted to go to a comedy show she was going to. She bought 3 tickets (1 for her, 1 for my mom, 1 for my dad), but then thought the transaction didn't go through so she bought 3 more. Turns out though that the transaction did go through and now she had 6 tickets. I said "sure, I like stand-up," and he was quite funny. It was Zoltan Kaszas and a guy who sells shirts that say "a comedian can live off selling 4 shirts." I didn't sit with the group, and I could see everything, but my family couldn't. There was a really funny thing with the opening act, he was telling a one liner and the microphone stand fell and you couldn't hear the punch line well. He did a good job playing it off.
Saturday was pretty fun as well. Mskate saw that our theater was playing ET for a rerelease, and we were going to go to the 11AM show, but then there was only an 11AM show on Sunday so we went to the 7PM show later that evening. After realizing the mistake with the movie we went to BJs to get gas and some drinks. For dinner we went to Applebee's on a whim. We did 2 for 25 with the upcharge foods, ribs for me and salmon for her, and mozzerella sticks for the appetizer. The movie was fun, it's a good movie. I would link the review memory that I did when I saw it at the drive in, but I guess I didn't upload that one yet. Mskate hadn't seen it, so she was really happy to see where all the references and music comes from.
Sunday was pretty good. We were in charge of coffee and donuts this week, so that was good. We picked up the donuts and got them all set-up. Then at mass they forgot us in the back for communion, so that was kind of funny. After mass we did some grocery shopping of our own, and got a lot of sales stuff. For dinner I made us an Asian inspired noodle dish. It's rice noodles, soy sauce, onion, steak, and bell peppers; I don't know if this is anything real, but it sure tastes good. I had Sunday Night cartoons again now that The Faithful is finished (of which you can read my review here). Later
